Myth: The Xenogears Orchestral Soundtrack is an arranged soundtrack to Square Enix's console role-playing game Xenogears. It was written by the game's composer Yasunori Mitsuda and contains 14 tracks, including a song performed by the Irish singer Joanne Hogg. The album is set to be released in Japan on February 11, 2011.
Creation
A poll was held for suggestions as to which tracks to include.[1] The tracklist was initially set to feature 10 tracks, but was later expanded to 14.[2] The album was recorded with the Bulgarian National Radio Orchestra and mixed in London.[3] Ringtones for "Our Village is Number One", "Distant Promise", "Dark Dawn" and "Small Two of Pieces" were released on January 28, 2011.[2] Mitsuda noted that there might be a second orchestral album in the future if the first is successful.[2]
