:Hello everyone, trust you're doing well and staying safe. I am requesting for new page reviewer right to help reduce the work load of new page reviewers and also reduce the backlog of new pages waiting for review. For instance, some of the articles I created are awaiting review for almost two months now and I believe other articles created by different editors are also waiting for review. Granting me this right will mean that at least one or two new articles will be reviewed daily. I have made over six thousand edits to about 600 articles and have created about 40 articles. I understand the composition of a new article and subject notability per WP standard. |

Thank you all for the work you do. Ugbedeg (talk) 11:34, 8 June 2020 (UTC) |

:::Ugbedeg, looking at your recent contributions, I see that you had two draft submissions declined recently, Draft:Nigerian Academy of Education and Draft:John Ehiguese. Could you comment on these submissions, either to identify what's missing or to rebut the reviewers' assertions? signed, Rosguill talk 23:15, 11 June 2020 (UTC) |

Thank you Rosguill Draft:John Ehiguese is one of my early articles on WP but was rejected for adv,bio, which I worked on by toning down contents that are likely promotional in nature. At some point the article was flagged not notable despite providing sources that are proven to be credible (national newspapers) which have been used by others to create articles on WP. The general perception appears to be that I was trying to promote the SUBJECT on WP (especially that I was a new editor then) but that was not my intention so I left it until such a time when I can source additional sources for the article. A check on the article history will reveal this to you. |
|||
For the Draft:Nigerian Academy of Education I was creating this article and had advanced but just when I started adding offline sources (printed newspapers) which is manually done and time consuming (because everything has to be typed) something very urgent came up and I travelled forgetting to take the sourced offline sources along with me so I can complete it. But as soon as I retrieve the sources I'll update the article for review. |

Once again, thank you Rosguill Ugbedeg(talk) |

:Thanks for your prompt response Ugbedeg. While these answers are reasonable, having reviewed your other contributions, I don't see any track record of work in NPP-adjacent fields such as CSD/PROD tagging, AfD discussions, or AfC, which leaves me without much evidence to evaluate as to whether you have a sufficient understanding of the relevant policies and guidelines for new page reviewing. I would suggest doing some work in these fields and re-applying for this permission in a few months. For now, not done. signed, Rosguill talk 16:45, 12 June 2020 (UTC) |

Thank you Rosguill. I can say that I have a good knowledge of WP:GNG and I can help as a new pages reviewer. I understand that CSD and PROD tagging are not part of the requirements for new pages reviewer right though, I went to the tea house and asked to be instructed on where I can participate in CSD and PROD tagging and AFD discussions but was told that AFD discussion make no impact on articles tagged CSD and PROD. Except the two draft articles which I have explained the rational they are still in the draft space, none of my articles and edits have been deleted. I kindly request that you grant me at least a few weeks new pages reviewer trial period to prove myself. I hope that this request will be granted as I have seen your kind response to issues. Thank you for the good work you are doing. Ugbedeg (talk) |

::Having looked at that Teahouse discussion already, I can now say with full confidence that you do not currently have the necessary knowledge of policies and guidelines to be reviewing new pages. New page reviewers need to understand deletion policies backwards and forwards. Take some time to familiarize yourself with these areas. There's more to NPP than GNG. Note that the instructions for granting this permission state that the 500/90 minimum In addition to the above suggestions, I would suggest reading through all of WP:NPP carefully before you consider applying again. signed, Rosguill talk 23:26, 12 June 2020 (UTC) |

- I was granted the rights temporarily and later denied for not leaving "edit summaries" when re-applied. I do not agree with this because I leave edit summaries wherever possible and this is not a criteria for NPP. I have reviewed several articles and would like to continue working on this please. - In March I received your request for help which was placed on my talk page and indicated willingness to help. I've done 52,000 diverse manual edits, the first one being in 2009. I'm active on policy and guideline pages and know them. I've been a pending changes reviewer since its inception. Also a rollbacker. A pair of us took SS Edmund Fitzgerald through GA, FA and to Wikipedia article of the day. On and off I've been active at AFD, maybe 2 years total commenting on I'd guess about 100-200 AFD's. On and off I've been a Good Article Reviewer.....maybe for 3-4 years total. I'm guessing that I've done 75 or 100 Good Article reviews. Since starting at NPP in March I've completed a little over 500 NPP reviews. I probably looked at an additional 1,000 which I either tagged or noted without marking as reviewed or else left them for someone more experienced at this than me. I was given NPP temporary rights in March which I think are going to expire soon and am asking to get them changed to non-expiring. - This is my account for AWB editing. Being page reviewer would help me very much over the next fewdays where I can review new pages. Louise340 (talk) 04:13, 15 June 2020 (UTC)

- I am currently on a 2 week probation due to expire tonight, I would like to request a full upgrade as long as my performance has been satisfactory. Thank you. Kadzi (talk) 08:07, 15 June 2020 (UTC)

- I have been creating several wikipedia articles and have been a member from the year 2010. I've created 11 articles on scientists so far, and 9 of them have been successfully reviewed. I hope to create 9 more articles by the end of June. I would love to receive the chance to review new articles, and I do feel that I have received the relevant experience in the past few years as a Wikipedia editor. Many thanks!
