The Gold STiki Barnstar of Merit
| ||
Congratulations, M.Bitton! You're receiving this barnstar of merit because you recently crossed the 25,000 classification threshold using STiki.
We thank you both for your contributions to Wikipedia at-large and your use of the tool. We hope you continue your ascent up the leaderboard and stay in touch at the talk page. Thank you and keep up the good work! West.andrew.g (talk) 14:40, 5 December 2019 (UTC) |
A barnstar for you!
The Random Acts of Kindness Barnstar
Hi, because of lack of time, i was not able to complete the article yesterday, thank you very much for taking the time to explain me how to use the Harv style and for completing (and correcting my mistakes) my edits at Medo-Babylonian conquest of the Assyrian Empire. Cheers. ---Wikaviani (talk) (contribs) 21:36, 20 June 2020 (UTC) |
A barnstar for you!
The Anti-Vandalism Barnstar
It’s always great to see more people fighting vandalism. Have a star! Jeb3Talk at me hereWhat I've Done 23:41, 12 August 2020 (UTC) |
A cup of coffee for you!
I see that you check recent edits for appropriateness. I clicked through to see a set of the reversions that you had made for rejected submissions, and I agreed with all of what I saw you had done. It seemed apparent to me through the decisions you made and the comments that you left that you were giving human attention to the decisions you made rather than over-relying on tools and automation. Thanks for that, and thanks especially for the notes you leave. You are doing good review. Blue Rasberry (talk) 01:39, 18 October 2021 (UTC) |
- @Bluerasberry: Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. Best, M.Bitton (talk) 22:07, 18 October 2021 (UTC)
A barnstar for you!

Another barnstar for you!
The Original Barnstar | ||
For answering a lot of edit requests and helping to keep the backlog at bay. For a while, I was taking care of that on my own, and it feels nice to see someone else get to it first every now and then! Actualcpscm (talk) 17:22, 17 March 2023 (UTC) |
- @Actualcpscm: thank you very much for the encouragement and for tackling those time consuming edit requests that tend to be pushed to the back of the queue. Keep up the great work! Best, M.Bitton (talk) 22:39, 17 March 2023 (UTC)
A barnstar for your incredible work on the Horn of Africa relief map :)

Here's a barnstar for your incredible work on the Horn of Africa relief map! Really appreciate the effort you put into it :) KluskaSlaska (talk) 16:21, 21 May 2023 (UTC) |
Also, on a related note, I would love to do some more map work once I have more time in late summer. Do you have any good guides on how to get started on maps for Wikipedia? :) KluskaSlaska (talk) 16:21, 21 May 2023 (UTC)
- @KluskaSlaska: Thank you so much for your feedback. Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any good guides that would help you. Best, M.Bitton (talk) 14:02, 17 June 2023 (UTC)
A barnstar for you!

Honestly, I'm a bit disappointed in myself for not giving this to you sooner! You have been a great help creating maps for many articles, don't stop doing what you do! – Treetoes023 (talk) 22:09, 11 July 2023 (UTC) |
- @Treetoes023: Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. Best, M.Bitton (talk) 12:01, 12 July 2023 (UTC)
Spanish Sahara
I disagree with the statement that more than 80 governments consider the territory to be sovereign. As of September 2022, the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic is recognized by 46 out of a total of 193 United Nations member states. 104.192.212.102 (talk) 02:48, 28 April 2024 (UTC)
Regarding Reverting My Edit on Arab Cold War
Hello. You have reverted 7 of my edits on Arab Cold War. I didn't remove or add any information. I just cleaned the jumbled mess that was the infobox. Why have you reverted the edits? Hind242 (talk) 04:50, 30 April 2024 (UTC)
- Here's what you exactly reverted
- >Collapsible List of Parties
- >Grouping of Palestinian and Omani Militant groups
- How is this contentious? Hind242 (talk) 05:49, 30 April 2024 (UTC)
- You removed State of Palestine. If this was a one off, I probably wouldn't have said anything, but given that you've been editing the contentious topic for a while and the content in your sandbox, I had no other choice. This and the introduction to the CT that was left on your talk page are meant to prevent you from getting yourself into trouble. M.Bitton (talk) 13:30, 30 April 2024 (UTC)
- Look, the State of Palestine was founded in 1988. I'm not an Israel supporter or anything, but including a nation that had not existed back then? Its nonsense.
- Oh and my sandbox. Yeah I use it to make althist content on reddit.
- I am not gonna bring the content without getting your approval, which I wish you would grant. Hind242 (talk) 15:08, 2 May 2024 (UTC)
- You make any edits regarding the Arab/Israel conflict, broadly construed until you have 500 edits and become extended-confirmed. That includes edits about Palestinian militant groups. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 15:13, 2 May 2024 (UTC)

RfC close at Israel-Hamas war
Before I take this to AE, I was hoping to we could avoid that drama by you reverting your close; as an editor who is involved in the page, and have in previous RfC's on that page expressed strong opinions about some of the subject matter, it wasn't appropriate of you to close that RfC regardless of the broader context.
Further, it wasn't appropriate for anyone to close that RfC at that time; the content had been edit warred over and discussed and dispute resolution was needed, while the RfC itself did not have any issues that justified early closure.
As such, are you willing to revert your close? BilledMammal (talk) 00:13, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- Did you read the explanation that I left on ScottishFinnishRadish's talk page? M.Bitton (talk) 00:26, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, and I both disagree with it, and believe that given your past involvement in the topic you were not the correct person to determine it. BilledMammal (talk) 00:30, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- Would you have preferred if I reported you for violating 1RR multiples times? M.Bitton (talk) 00:31, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- That seems to be a non-sequitur. Are you going to revert your close? BilledMammal (talk) 00:32, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- I disagree with you and besides, why are you bringing this here when there is an ongoing discussion on ScottishFinnishRadish's talk page? M.Bitton (talk) 00:34, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- Because I've been recommended at ARCA to take this to AE, and I was hoping to avoid that. However, if I have understood you correctly you have no intention of reverting your close, so I will write up the AE report now - I'll check back before posting it, in case I have misunderstood you. BilledMammal (talk) 00:36, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- Are you referring to this discussion? If so, who exactly recommended that you this (something that wasn't discussed) to AE? M.Bitton (talk) 00:42, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, and Barkeep. BilledMammal (talk) 00:52, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- Barkeep is referring to the 1RR violation on talk pages and your question to them was about "hidden text within the article". Again, there is no mention of this anywhere in that discussion. M.Bitton (talk) 00:54, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- See Barkeep's comment at 18:57, 8 May 2024 (UTC) and 16:22, 9 May 2024 (UTC).
