I have been actively editing Wikipedia for the last two years and have gained extensive expertise in various aspects, such as creating new articles from scratch, reviewing AfC drafts, nominating, and participating in AfD discussions. I am interested in applying for probationary NPP rights to see if I am up for the job. RPSkokie (talk) 13:37, 27 June 2023 (UTC) |

:done, your article creation and AfD participation records are strong enough that I don't see a need for a trial run. signed, Rosguill talk 15:22, 30 June 2023 (UTC) |

My request was denied last month due to low participation in AFD. I now often attend deletion processes. My AFC review work has also been good. I am well-versed in Wikipedia's CSD, XFD, PROD, GNG, SNG, NPOV, WP:OR, WP:RS, and BLP policies. I'd like to help with the backlog. 𝙳𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚖𝚁𝚒𝚖𝚖𝚎𝚛 𝚍𝚒𝚜𝚌𝚞𝚜𝚜 06:16, 26 June 2023 (UTC)

I was a temporary member and I would like full access as I have been using and enjoying the tool. I have 199 patrols. Nagol0929 (talk) 14:19, 26 June 2023 (UTC)
- Not done, in reviewing your track record, you made many errors, particularly in reviews of companies, films and articles previously deleted at AfD. I also find that you were going through these reviews WAY too quickly, often finishing multiple reviews in under a minute. An IP has further raised concerns that you are engaging in WP:UPE, although I was unable to verify these allegations conclusively. I will be going back and unreviewing any pages you reviewed that do not obviously meet notability guidelines at a glance. signed, Rosguill talk 03:53, 27 June 2023 (UTC)
- @Rosguill Where were the WP:UPE concerns raised? Nagol0929 (talk) 11:28, 27 June 2023 (UTC)
- I'm going to decline to specify further for security through obscurity reasons. While the concerns were not without merit, the specific issues I identified regarding errors in your track record alone are enough of a reason for declining your request for permissions. signed, Rosguill talk 12:56, 27 June 2023 (UTC)
- @Rosguill I also assume you removed me from AFC reviews when i already had said privileges. Nagol0929 (talk) 03:54, 28 June 2023 (UTC)
- No, that appears to have been done in this edit by @Primefac, when all editors with NPP permissions were removed from the AfC list due to a software patch conferring AfC automatically to editors with the NPP perm. But given the concerns with your NPP reviews, I can’t recommend that you reapply for AfC. I would also expect both NPP and AfC reviewers to have sufficient Wikipedia know-how to identify who made changes to the AfC participants list and when, as it would frequently be expected of you to conduct more complicated investigations of article histories when reviewing articles created from preexisting pages, investigating copyright violations, or hunting down UPE. signed, Rosguill talk 04:58, 28 June 2023 (UTC)

I've been asked twice now to become a New Page Reviewer by @Illusion Flame (recent talk page discussion) and have this time considedered applying, so here I am. I patrol newly created pages pretty regularly (just to check that there is nothing covered by CSD or if an article coule be PRODded) and consider becoming a New Page Reviewer as a natural progression of this, as I would be able to patrol articles as well. I have read the tutorial page I was linked. Currently on EnWiki, I am have Pending Changes Reviewer, Rollback and Autopatrol rights. In terms of auditing content, I have conducted several DYK reviews and a GA review. If it helps, I myself have produced three GAs and 16 DYKs, although I currently have three GAs nominated and two DYKs in the pipe...
In terms of the requirements set out at Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Reviewers, I have been a registered user for over six months, have 500 undeleted edits to the Wikipedia mainspace (in addition to this I use CSD, PROD and AfD pretty often: see logs [2] [3] and AfD stats [4]), have a solid history that demonstrate proficiency with communicating and interacting with new users due to my participation as a Growth Team Mentor, have some experience with moving pages in accordance with guidelines due to draft publishing and typo correcting, have never had a block of any kind and am purely a volunteer editor.
I hope you will consider my application and I hope to be able to start reviewing new pages soon. Schminnte (talk • contribs) 16:41, 27 June 2023 (UTC)

I would like to check to see what type of new pages are being created. Having this right will allow me to see if any page being created is in good or bad faith. Also, I will be able to provide a good reason for the page being good or inappropriate. Additionally, I have used this account for more than 2 years, have over 3,250 edits, and since my edits are in good faith, my account has never been blocked. Plus, I generally try to remain as calm as possible so that I don't lose my temper. I have learned that having this right is an important responsibility and I will not abuse this power at all. Since I have known this is a very crucial privilege, I will make smart choices. Sahas P. (talk) 13:44, 28 June 2023 (UTC)

I believe I can help clear the backlog of unreviewed articles and tag unsuitable articles, as well as help new editors. I have experience at AfC (reviews), and a little experience at AfD. I have already done some cleanup of recently created articles (categorizing, adding shortdescriptions, stub sorting). I have experience in content editing and article creation.
