The page 2022 Oder environmental disaster was very recently moved to Oder environmental disaster, leaving behind a redirect on the Main Page. I believe this requires updating the link to bypass the redirect (WP:MPNOREDIRECT) or reverting the move (although IMO a valid rationale is provided for the move). <span style="color:#0039a6">Complex</span>/<span style="color:#000000">Rational</span> 14:42, 16 August 2022 (UTC) |

Revision as of 14:43, 16 August 2022
To report an error in content currently or imminently on the Main Page, use the appropriate section below.
- Where is the error? An exact quotation of the text in question helps.
- Offer a correction if possible.
- References are helpful, especially when reporting an obscure factual or grammatical error.
- Time zones. The Main Page runs on Coordinated Universal Time (UTC, currently 18:51 on 17 May 2024) and is not adjusted to your local time zone.
- Can you resolve the problem yourself? If the error lies primarily in the content of an article linked from the Main Page, fix the problem there before reporting it here. Text on the Main Page generally defers to the articles with bolded links. Upcoming content on the Main Page is usually only protected from editing beginning 24 hours before its scheduled appearance. Before that period, you can be bold and fix any issues yourself.
- Do not use edit fully-protected on this page, which will not get a faster response. It is unnecessary, because this page is not protected, and causes display problems, because this is not a talk page. (See the bottom of this revision for an example.)
- No chit-chat. Lengthy discussions should be moved to a suitable location elsewhere, such as the talk page of the relevant article or project.
- Respect other editors. Another user wrote the text you want changed, or reported an issue they see in something you wrote. Everyone's goal should be producing the best Main Page possible. The compressed time frame of the Main Page means sometimes action must be taken before there has been time for everyone to comment. Be civil to fellow users.
- Reports are removed when resolved. Once an error has been addressed, determined not to be an error, or the item has rotated off the Main Page, the report will be removed from this page. Check the revision history for a record of any discussion or action taken; no archives are kept.

Current DYK
- Guns don't kill people, people kill people reads much more like a persuasive essay for a college course than an encyclopedia article. A large amount of critique is phrased in the encyclopedia's voice, with essentially no weight given to other views. Compared to other content discussing controversial political phrases, such as Pro-choice and pro-life, there's a markèd difference in editorial tone. I'm not sure that this should be appearing on the Main Page in its current form. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she|they|xe) 16:47, 15 August 2022 (UTC)
- It's 21kB of readable prose. Consider tagging the specific portions where you believe there is an issue, then others can more easily assess your concerns.—Bagumba (talk) 05:27, 16 August 2022 (UTC)
- It's 3,800 words. For the main page, that seems excessive for a feature that could be seen as WP:RGW. -- Sca (talk) 12:49, 16 August 2022 (UTC)
- It's a valid article, it's well-written and well-referenced. Your individual and personal feelings are not relevant to Wikipedia policy on whether or not the article should exist, merely that the article is based on reliable, independent sources, and otherwise complies with policy. This one does. --Jayron32 13:59, 16 August 2022 (UTC)

The Peterloo item is pretty clumsily phrased and hides the name of the event. I suggest:
- In the Peterloo Massacre, cavalry charged into a crowd in Manchester, which was demanding reform of parliamentary representation, killing around 15 people and injuring 400 to 700 others.
