The company's first products were hot plates and slow cookers in 1947.[5] Danby marketed an early portable air conditioner. Current products are marketed under seven brand names: Danby®, Danby Designer®, Danby Diplomat®, Danby Premiere®, Simplicity®, Arcticaire®, and Silhouette®, as well as some private brands like Sunbeam® for major retail stores.[6]
