Enabling huggle for another project
If you want to get huggle enabled for another project please do the following:
- Ensure that huggle can be used on this project (it should be a mediawiki project which has the api enabled and all necessary modes installed - no rollback is required for huggle)
- Consider this with developers of huggle
- Ask some sysop of that wiki who is capable to speak english for assistance
- Translate huggle to your language
- Wait for developers to set up the huggle for that project

- As you spotted your username was removed in the clear out and no doubt in time it will be back on the list. The updates that cause switches in the order of names e.t.c in the white list are, as far as we are aware, from differences between versions. This is one of the reasons that we would really like users to update to the newer versions and why we may at some point force it. ·Add§hore· Talk To Me! 09:15, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

Level 4 warning
Hi. I sent a level 4 warning and it should say "This is your last warning" but says "This is your only warning". Please, somebody change "only" for "last". Thanks.” TeLeS (T @ L C S) 13:04, 11 February 2011 (UTC)
- The problem is not with the wording of the template. The problem is that HG issued the wrong template. The template issued was Template:Huggle/warn-4im when it should have been Template:Huggle/warn-4. The wording of Template:Huggle/warn-4 is: This is your last warning, while the wording of Template:Huggle/warn-4im is: This is your only warning. If one looks at your diff, it shows that the warning issued was Template:Huggle/warn-4im. (Well, actually it says that the template issued was Template:uw-huggle4im but that just redirects to Template:Huggle/warn-4im.)
So, the problem is that your version of Huggle — 2.1.3? — for some reason issued the wrong warning. — SpikeToronto 08:47, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
User warning templates
I have noticed that some of the templates listed at Template:Huggle have changed over time to become rather more bitey than is probably for the best. I would assume that since these templates live in a bit of a walled garden, they don't get a lot of eyeballs watching them for changes which might slip away from consensus. Is there any technical reason why these templates can't redirect to the user warning templates approved by WikiProject user warnings? The templates listed there are subject to wider scrutiny and consensus. —Elipongo (Talk contribs) 16:32, 11 February 2011 (UTC)
- Elipongo, which HG templates in particular? Also, do Twinkle, IGLOO, etc., use their own templates or the templates at WP:UTM as you suggest? Thanks! — SpikeToronto 08:50, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
- UPDATE: I see what you mean. I reviewed the revision history of the series that begins at Template:Huggle/warn-1 and noticed that some of them — the Level 4 and Level 4im — were unilaterally changed by a former Huggler. I also noticed that the lower level ones were shortened by a former Huggle developer who was unaware that the wording of some of them had been changed to make them consistent with WP:UTM.
If there is consensus to return these templates to being more consistent with WP:UTM, I would be willing to do the work since User:Petrb and User:Addshore are kept quite busy working on the Huggle program itself. Thanks! — SpikeToronto 09:14, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
- I do not intend to start changing them until there is some feedback here. However, the changes made to them that caused them to diverge from the versions at WP:UTM were made unilaterally and thus without consensus. Therefore, any change back would be going back to versions for which, via UTM, there is consensus. Or at least that’s how I see it. Thanks! — SpikeToronto 21:01, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
- I agree that reversions would reflect a return to consensus from changes made by editors acting alone. To answer another question, TWINKLE does indeed use the standardized WP:UTM templates. For example, see the notice in the documentation of {{uw-vandalism1}}. Is there a reason Huggle can't do this too? It would certainly mitigate against future unilateral changes. —Elipongo (Talk contribs) 03:22, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
- As I understand it, from some old edit summaries in the revision histories, the way in which HG is written it needs certain parameters and variables within templates to be different than they are in the standard UTM/Twinkle templates. However, the wording should be only minimally affected by these, if at all. — SpikeToronto 07:48, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
I wonder what parameters are needed? Perhaps they can be included into the standardized templates. Unless there's some fundamental incompatability... —Elipongo (Talk contribs) 15:33, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
Testing team
Hi I would like to make some testing team for testing huggle before it is released, I do not have a lot of time for doing tests myself and I believe it's too important, I must admit there were some bugs caused by some of my changes (which could harm the stability which previous versions had), although those were fixed I want to prevent this from happening again, if anyone is interesting in testing just tell me what do you think about this whole idea, I think I will release beta versions everytime 2 or more days before releasing stable and would contact all the testers with e-mail, if you have some suggestions about testing just tell me. Anyone is welcome to participate on testing but if you want to get notified you would have to add your name somewhere (could be on this page - I will create some subpage for testing probably). Annoying feature
Is there anyway I can stop Huggle writing my huggle.css file every time I quit - it never used to do that, it only wrote it when a version changed. I have extra revert summaries in there, and I have to revert the rewrite every time. I didn't mind when it was just the occasional version change - I used to copy the extra summaries over. Or maybe we could have a hugglecustom.css included for our extra customisations? I thought of protecting it, but that won't work, as (technically) it's me writing the file... I updated my Avast! Antivirus to 6.0 version. When I try to open Huggle, a message "You are opening an application that may be potentially unsafe." appears. It suggests that I use the sandbox. What is missing in this program? Francisco talk-contribs 22:15, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
