MSC Bellissima is a cruise ship currently under construction for MSC Cruises at the STX Shipyard in France. [1]
The ship will join MSC Meraviglia in the company’s Meraviglia-class of cruise ships. She’ll have a tonnage of 171,598 GT and a capacity of 4,500 guests. [1] The ship is expected to debut in March 2019.
Construction timeline
MSC Cruises and STX France cut the first steel of MSC Bellissima on November 28, 2016. [2]
MSC Bellissima got her lucky coin on November 15, 2017. Besides, the company celebrated the MSC Grandiosa Steel Cutting Ceremony that day. She will become the first member of the Meraviglia-plus class of cruise ships. [3]
The ship will be floated out in June/July 2018. Her delivery ceremony is scheduled for February 28, 2019. MSC Bellissima will be officially named on March 2, 2019.
Features
MSC Bellissima will feature an 80-meter LED ceiling, Cirque du Soleil at Sea, 12 dining venues, ten areas for dancing, three waterslides, full-size bowling lanes, and other onboard amenities. [4]
The ship’s stateroom categories will include Interior, Interior Studio, Ocean View, Balcony cabins, as well as Staterooms for Families, Suites with angled balcony, Duplex Suite, MSC Yacht Club Interior, MSC Yacht Club Deluxe Suite, and MSC Yacht Club Royal suites.
Route
The ship will depart on her maiden sailing on March 24, 2019. It will be a 7 Night Mediterranean voyage leaving from Genoa, Italy. MSC Bellissima will call at several ports in Italy, Malta, Spain, and France. [5]
