Requesting opinions on whether or not a KGB/Cheka interrogation can be used as a legitimate reference for an article. -- Aivazovsky (talk) 20:02, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
Who are the involved parties?
What's going on?
Basically, Parishan wants to add a reference to a KGB/Cheka interrogation to prove that the Armenians conducted a military ethnic cleansing campaign on the Azeris in the region.
My stance is basically that because the KGB/Cheka is synonymous with torture, fear, and brutal tactics, an interrogation by them can hardly be viewed as credible. As proof of this, I hold up Joseph Stalin's Moscow show trials in which innocent people were forced to admit to crimes that they did not commit. Parishan's position is that the source is legimate because there is no mention that the KGB did indeed use torture. -- Aivazovsky (talk) 20:02, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
What would you like to change about that?
Ultimately, I want to see what the admins think about this. The main question here: Can an interrogation by the KGB be used as a reliable source? -- Aivazovsky (talk) 20:02, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
