New Page Review - newsletter
- Breaking the back of the backlog
If each reviewer does only 10 reviews a day over five days, the backlog will be down to zero and the daily input can then be processed by each reviewer doing only 2 or 3 reviews a day - that's about 5 minutes work!
Let's get that over and done with in time to relax for the holidays.
- Second set of eyes
Not only are New Page Reviewers the guardians of quality of new articles, they are also in a position to ensure that pages are being correctly tagged for deletion and maintenance and that new authors are not being bitten. This is an important feature of your work. Read about it at the new Monitoring the system section in the tutorial.
- Getting the tools we need - 2016 WMF Wishlist Survey: Please vote
With some tweaks to their look, and some additional features, Page Curation and New Pages Feed could easily be the best tools for patrollers and reviewers. We've listed most of what what we need at the 2016 WMF Wishlist Survey. Voting starts on 28 November - please turn out to make our bid the Foundation's top priority. Please help also by improving or commenting on our Wishlist entry at the Community Wishlist Survey. Many other important user suggestions are listed at at Page Curation.

Tech help, if you're able
If you're able, your assistance would be appreciated at WP:VPT#GeoGroupTemplate and Google, since you've done a good deal of work with this template. Nyttend (talk) 13:20, 26 November 2016 (UTC)

Sandwell Priory
I notice you referred to a small museum in the visitor centre for the country park. I know about the museum in Sandwell Park Farm: is that the one you had in mind? Sjwells53 (talk) 23:50, 29 November 2016 (UTC)
- @Sjwells53: Yes, that's the one. I've modified the text accordingly. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 15:27, 30 November 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks for that. I might start a page on the farm, as it falls through the cracks at present. With the usual proviso, however, of "when I get round to it." Mainly working on Lapley Priory at the moment in my self-inflicted penance of improving coverage Staffordshire and Shropshire monasteries. Sjwells53 (talk) 15:46, 30 November 2016 (UTC)
BBC 100 Women
I tried to mail you a link to meta:Wikimedia UK/Events/BBC 100 Women but it bounced:
"550 sorry, your envelope sender is in my badmailfrom list"
Has my ISP offended you? --RexxS (talk) 00:29, 30 November 2016 (UTC)
- @RexxS: That's odd - I have no such filter in place. Please try again. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 15:35, 30 November 2016 (UTC)
- I've forwarded the bounce message to you. --RexxS (talk) 16:52, 30 November 2016 (UTC)
- @RexxS: Not got that either, please can you forward via a mutual acquaintance? Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 12:44, 2 December 2016 (UTC)

Thank you
Hello.
Thank you for your recent edit on Urdu Wikipedia.
Good to see your edit there. Wonder if you remember our meeting in Italy this year. Thanks again! --Muzammil (talk) 17:39, 15 December 2016 (UTC)
- @Hindustanilanguage: Hi Muzammil, Yes, I remember. Good times! I wonder whether you or one of your colleagues could translate ORCID into Urdu, please? Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 12:14, 16 December 2016 (UTC)
Template:CC listed at Redirects for discussion
An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Template:CC. Since you had some involvement with the Template:CC redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. — Godsy (TALKCONT) 09:42, 18 December 2016 (UTC)

I am attempting to do a GA Review of Leggetts Creek but the nominator/article-creator has retired from WP. I think the article is in pretty darn good shape but there are some issues with the referencing - mostly refs going stale. I am reaching out to you as a member of the Wikipedia:WikiProject Rivers in the hopes that maybe you or another active Project member could take on fixing the refs. Thanks, Shearonink (talk) 07:20, 22 December 2016 (UTC)
