Army Cadet Force edits
Good evening, I am writing this as a reasoning behind my edit toward the post; and my justification for it. Unfortunately I have no published evidence, only first hand experience as within my company the rule of thumb was ‘1 star passed, JCIC passed’ to achieve the rank of Corporal. However, should you still need evidence other than my word, which is completely logical, please reply and I will do my best to search for it. Have a good day, and thank you for your time. -Equilibrium. ClandestineEquilibrium (talk) 23:40, 16 January 2023 (UTC)
- ClandestineEquilibrium Good day and thank you for the message above. This was your edit. Pls note that all info added/changed needs to be supported by independent, reliable source such as from the newspaper or books for verification which is the core policy of Wikipedia. The editor who edit the page bare the burden to provide the source. You can add back the info provided you have an independent, reliable source to support the claim. I have sent you a welcome message and you can participate in the WP:TWA program (about 50 mins) to understand some of the basic Wikipedia guidelines in editing. Let me know if you need further assistance. Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia talk 03:57, 17 January 2023 (UTC)

UFC Fight Night 221
Hello, my edit was recently removed and I was just wondering why it was. Your reasoning was "no inwork, but officially confirmed bout". Please explain so I have an understanding. Thank you. - WWEFan1926 WWEFan1926 (talk) 08:06, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
- WWEFan192 Good day and thank you for the question above. These were your edits. First of all, we do not add any announced bout if the bout states in work, planned, verbally agreed, targeted, rumous but only officially confirmed bouts by independent, reliable source. Your source from MMA junkie states "in work" - see here-1. Secondly, we would only updated the event name when it is appear in the UFC.com event page and at this moment of my edit, the healiner has yet to be named - see here-2 (the event name might be updated if you click on the link (here-2) later then today. Thus your edits were reverted. Btw, another editor added another source which states the bout is set so the source and info is accepted. Let me know if anything else I could help. Thank you for your contribution to MMA related articles in Wikipedia. Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia talk 08:37, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
AIV
Please be careful with your edit - your edit to the AIV wiped my previous 3 reports for no reason. Cahk (talk) 08:04, 19 January 2023 (UTC)
- Cahk Thank you for informing. My edit was stated "edit confilct" and I have to redo it again and I guess somehow the your previous were removed for unknown reasons. I didnt have any intention to remove any other editor's reports. However, since the log indicated that was my edit that remove your reports, I bare the mistake and thanks again for letting me know. Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia talk 08:23, 19 January 2023 (UTC)
Instagram as a source
I have found a relevant policy that disputes your claim that in this instance (Elliott and Mazany being married) that Instagram should not be used as a source. According to WP:SELFSOURCE, social media can be used as a source. It specifically states "Self-published or questionable sources may be used as sources of information about themselves" as long as it meets the criteria provided. It's not an exceptional claim to say that they are married, it's not a claim about 3rd parties, just them, it's not a claim an event directly related to him and her, you can't really doubt its authenticity because why he would he call her his wife if she wasn't, and neither article is heavily reliant on social media as a source. Once I have received your acknowledgment, I will be adding it back as that policy clearly shows when it's a claim about their self that social media can be used as a source.--Rockchalk717 00:47, 20 January 2023 (UTC)
- Rockchalk717 Thank you for your message. As we know instragram and all the social which is posted by the subject as times could be true and also would be just a joke, threat, false info as example of Baber wearing black belt bjj in a photo when she is not even a black belt (a huge disrespectful to the bjj community and the sport itself) or Conor saying so many trolling messages, or Dana White stated so many claim which were untrue in UFC channel/website. Selfsouce is to use sparingly and only toward the subject themselves an not other involved and only it is so important contribute to the article and not other sources could be found for the info. Try to locate other sources instead of using not independent, not reliable self sources - here source 1 , source 2 and source 3 indicate their relationship (girlfriend and wife) which you can use instead of social media. Cassiopeia talk 01:04, 20 January 2023 (UTC)
- The problem with those sources is the dates are from before Elliott himself started referring to her as his wife on social media. He didn't make any posts about the wedding or calling her his wife until November of 2022 ([https://www.instagram.com/p/CkdLvInrbvy/?igshid=NDk5N2NlZjQ= this is the first one), all those articles you provided were from before then. Also, you cannot compare fighters posting jokes on social media to someone making a post referring to someone as their wife.--Rockchalk717 01:16, 20 January 2023 (UTC)
- Rockchalk717 You hit the right point and that is precisely that social media is not an independent nor reliable source I{IRS) as we that is no fact checking in place like other IRS (I could state anything including including I am married or gay or death of my parent even it could be true or just joking in social media and the source is considered not IRS). Two of the sources I placed above did indicate Gina is the wife of Tim which you can used. (Btw, see talk page of Gina which I have ping you). Stay safe and best. - Additionally, that policy I mentioned specifically said that social media can be used when the post is about the person and this is primarily because articles when a celebrity or athlete gets married, engaged, or has a child born, they typically cite a social media post as their source. Case in point, the first source you mentioned uses Elliott's instagram post announcing their engagement as their source.--Rockchalk717 03:19, 20 January 2023 (UTC)
- At this point, I have a policy backing up the inclusion of this and using Instagram as a source. I'm adding them back. Please do not revert my policy backed edits again.--Rockchalk717 03:29, 20 January 2023 (UTC)
- We agree we disagree as I always go by the IRS and that is one to use whereby you choose not to that is one which is the Wikipedia core policy. Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia talk 08:08, 20 January 2023 (UTC)

Question from TheoProof! (00:20, 24 January 2023)
I had problems creating this account and tried again with "TheoProof2" and "TheoProof3." I received a confirmation email for "TheoProof3" and thought that was the end of it. I have since received a warning that I have multiple accounts. I have been able to log in to this account (TheoProof!) and "TheoProof3" but do not know the password for "TheoProof2", How do I delete 2 of these accounts? --TheoProof! (talk) 00:20, 24 January 2023 (UTC)
- TheoProof! Good day and thank you for the questions. First of all, once an account is created it can not be deleted. If you forget your password then you have no way to access it again as Wikipedia does not store any editor passwords. However, you can change your user name if you want to with valid reasons. I suggest you to leave "TheProof2" alone and place "Retired" on the user page of "TheProof3" and do not use the account again to edit. Secondly, (from the info of your talk page), pls do not add back anything that is original research info again as you have been warned before - see https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Existence_of_God&action=history here]. Info that is added or changed need to be supported by independent, reliable source for verification. Pls see the welcome message and click on the highlighted texts to learn some basic guidelines of Wikipedia. If you want to know more, I suggest you to complete WP:TWA program (about 45 mins) so you may know how to edit and the guidelines entails here. Let me know if I could help anything further. Alex Pereira conversion to Islam
Whats your thoughts on this? I've always said one blog from eight years ago proves nothing. This latest addition has added an article (www.sportskeeda.com/mma/news-is-alex-pereira-muslim) that basically concludes he 'may have converted to Islam'. Is this worth constantly reverting, or discussing? Nswix (talk) 21:37, 31 January 2023 (UTC)
- Nswix Good day and happy new year. There were 4 citations but actually one of them is the same sources so in total there were only 3 sources in the article talk about his religion faith.
- cisweb is not reliable not independent source as it is a Islamic religion website - see here-1
- archysport is not a reliable source - see here-2
- sportskeeda refers their content from an article calfkicker - original source which the calfkicker content is not independent (interview piece) and calfkicker is not an independent nor reliable source - see here-3.
- As for Sportskeedal - Although started since 2009, (who know how many actual journalists in the company) and only turn profitable in 2016 and sold about 63% (USD 6million - not a big company persay) and involved in esport and gaming - see here-4 and in addition - it site needs to specific how their article is being processed prior publishing - see here-5 which truly reliable, well establish sources would not have such info published. To me the source is not yet consider a reliable source. So in short, none of the sources above is considering reliable nor independent. I suggest you to open a discussion threat in the article talk page and stated why the content and sources were removed and you can copy and paste my reasons above (and state content added/changed needs to be supported by independent, reliable sources (IRS),such as from the major newspapers or books, for verification which is the Wikipedia core policy and the editor who added/changed the info needs to provide the say above to WP:PROOF. And if and editor reverted or added back the info (with another not IRS, then you can refer them to the article talk page of what you post. Hope this help and stay safe. Counter-Vandalism Academy training request
Hello!
I am interested in participating and having you as a trainer. Thank you. JohnDVandevert (talk) 00:09, 5 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Synoman Barris, ToastGuard, and JohnDVandevert: looping in all the CVUA traineers. Hi JohnVandevert, good day. Thank you for interested in joining CVUA program. However, I have to reject your request. You are the only editor who I have to go through every message in your talk page for the last 1.5 years to understand the extend of your uncivil behavior, attacking multipliers editors, continuing nominated CSD where you have been informed repeatedly to read up the guidelines, asking editors not to put message on your talk page or they would be banned and got banned for violating the personal attack guidelines, removing from Teahouse as host and many more. Even thought for the last few months you have behaved better, which does not yet to demonstrate you are fully equipped for counter vandalism position, as your pass behavior demonstrated you are not mature, polite and understand the basic guidelines enough to do the counter vandalism work as the motto of the CVUA is The motto of Civility – Maturity – Responsibility. I suggest you to take up WP:TWA program and learn and understand the basic guidelines of Wikipedia and if you edit constructively, follow the guidelines of your edits and treat "every" editor politely and discuss all matter in civil fashion and not been blocked/banned six months from now, you are welcome to pop back here to request to participate in the CVUA program.
