The spelling of Asad should be with one "s", given that putting two ("ss") whould imply a stress on the "s" sound in English, which is not the case in Asad's name. For a "z" sound in transliterating Arabic words into English, one would use a "z", not an "s". See for example Patrick Seale Asad: The Struggle for the Middle East.

Bias, indeed!
There are so few sources used in making sweeping assertions about Assad and Syria during his tenure, and curiously, they're all widely known to be friendly to US/UK imperialism. Is this really the best you fucks can cobble together???50.101.248.23 (talk) 14:17, 28 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Why official, "nice" picture?
I'm happy to be one of the above-mentioned fucks. Continuing his personality cult on WP? Shameless. Arminden (talk) 09:07, 20 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
