Riot Women is an upcoming British television series written by Sally Wainwright and produced by Drama Republic.
Synopsis
Five middle aged women start a punk rock band to enter a local competition and find they have more to say than they expected.[1]
Production
Sally Wainwright is writer and executive producer on the series which was announced in August 2023 under the title Hot Flush.[2] In April 2024, Wainwright revealed the title had been changed to Riot Woman, and the project had a song about HRT called Seeing Red.[3]
Filming is expected to take place in Hebden Bridge in Yorkshire in June 2024.[4][5]
