::Andra Febrian, AWB is used for making repetitive edits, not really for making a different edit to multiple pages. Are you sure you need this? Primefac (talk) 14:12, 29 January 2021 (UTC) |

:::I'm aware. It will be repetitive. For example, the manufacturer Kia Motors has just changed their name to Kia. I'm sure AWB could help me to remove Kia Motors in favour of Kia in many Kia model articles. I will do different edits for sure, but obviously in a different session. Perhaps my wording wasn't clear enough. Andra Febrian (talk) 14:30, 29 January 2021 (UTC) |

:I am fixing citation styles on a number of articles I have been working on. I believe that AWB would be extremely helpful in not only saving some time but also by making these edits more accurate. I understand the rules and responsibilities. Butlerblog (talk) 21:42, 23 January 2021 (UTC) |

::Butlerblog, what do you mean by "fixing citation styles"? Primefac (talk) 14:12, 29 January 2021 (UTC) |

:::Primefac, I could probably have worded that better. Some articles I've been working on have a lot of citations that are inconsistent because people have added new citations over time but have used their own preferred markup rather than sticking to the format already being used in the article. Some use inline citation, others just "long hand" a ref tag. I am working on making them consistent with the existing style already in the article (WP:CITEVAR). Also, while doing that, I am filling missing parameters, fixing incorrect parameters, validating links for linkrot, etc. Does that help clarify the intent? I'm happy to expound further. ::::Have you confused AWB with AutoEd? I can't see how any of AWB's functionality could possibly help with what you propose. AWB is ultimately a more efficient search-and-replace tool, and has nothing to do with citation formatting; indeed, trying to standardize citations using it would almost certainly take more time than hand-formatting them in the edit window given that you'd need to manually check every single proposed change before saving to confirm it was having the intended effect. ‑ Iridescent 19:18, 29 January 2021 (UTC) |

- I will be doing some extremely repetitive edits for articles under WikiProject Automobiles due to some changes in convention, and some car companies had changed their name so I should went and change it in each car articles. I want to use AWB to do that to save time. Andra Febrian (talk) 14:19, 23 January 2021 (UTC)
- Andra Febrian, AWB is used for making repetitive edits, not really for making a different edit to multiple pages. Are you sure you need this? Primefac (talk) 14:12, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
