**I've fixed the typo, I'm pretty sure those two phrases are equivalent - [[Asterocheres lilljeborgi]] says that the starfish were being parasited and cites a source which says "The parasitic cyclopoid copepod Asterocheres lillyeborgi has more than a 90% occurrence". '''''[[User:Hut 8.5|Hut 8.5]]''''' 18:27, 19 July 2018 (UTC) |

*" that 575 people were arrested" well the article says "arrested about 575 protesters" and then goes on to say "Women’s March announced that the total number arrests was 630." so it seems like an odd factoid to include given the obvious uncertainty. Revision as of 20:43, 19 July 2018
To report an error in content currently or imminently on the Main Page, use the appropriate section below.
- Where is the error? An exact quotation of the text in question helps.
- Offer a correction if possible.
- References are helpful, especially when reporting an obscure factual or grammatical error.
- Time zones. The Main Page runs on Coordinated Universal Time (UTC, currently 22:38 on 24 June 2024) and is not adjusted to your local time zone.
- Can you resolve the problem yourself? If the error lies primarily in the content of an article linked from the Main Page, fix the problem there before reporting it here. Text on the Main Page generally defers to the articles with bolded links. Upcoming content on the Main Page is usually only protected from editing beginning 24 hours before its scheduled appearance. Before that period, you can be bold and fix any issues yourself.
- Do not use {{edit fully-protected}} on this page, which will not get a faster response. It is unnecessary, because this page is not protected, and causes display problems because this is not a talk page. (See the bottom of this revision for an example.)
- No chit-chat. Lengthy discussions should be moved to a suitable location elsewhere, such as the talk page of the relevant article or project.
- Respect other editors. Another user wrote the text you want changed, or reported an issue they see in something you wrote. Everyone's goal should be producing the best Main Page possible. The compressed time frame of the Main Page means sometimes action must be taken before there has been time for everyone to comment. Be civil to fellow users.
- Reports are removed when resolved. Once an error has been addressed or determined not to be an error, or the item has been rotated off the Main Page, the report will be removed from this page. Check the revision history for a record of any discussion or action taken; no archives are kept.

- " one of the world's first internal combustion engines" lead of the target article makes a bolder claim, i.e. that it "was the world's first internal combustion engine". The Rambling Man (talk) 12:49, 19 July 2018 (UTC)
- The lead then goes on to mention the de Rivaz engine, which was developed right around the same time, and that article says
The honour of whose design was the first internal combustion engine is still debated.
So I changed the lead in Pyréolophore. —howcheng {chat} 15:50, 19 July 2018 (UTC)

- "The first Special Olympics games" mildly confusing since the caption has "Special Olympics World Games", we have an article for Special Olympics World Games yet this links to the Special Olympics organisation. The Rambling Man (talk) 12:57, 19 July 2018 (UTC)
- The first 1968 games were just the "Special Olympics", the next several games were the "Biennial International Special Olympics", the use of "World Games" came later but trace their history back to the 1968 games. The 50th anniversary is being celebrated by the Special Olympics organization.[1] How about if the caption is changed to 'Special Olympics athletes in 2013'? Alanscottwalker (talk) 13:43, 19 July 2018 (UTC)
- Yeah I had a hard time with the distinction as well, and at first it seemed a little odd to me that the organization was founded on the same days as the first games, but according to the article that's indeed what happened. Anyway, caption changed per suggestion. —howcheng {chat} 15:50, 19 July 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks. Seems they organized the 1968 games, the organizing was itself useful for the issues they were addressing, so 'let's do it again and again'. I might suggest also editing the paren to shorter '(2013 athletes, pictured)', if you think that's helpful. Alanscottwalker (talk) 16:13, 19 July 2018 (UTC)

- "Cornell was born Christopher John Boyle on June 20, 1964,[15][not in citation given] " in the article. Is it June or July? Do we have verifiable sources? The Rambling Man (talk) 16:26, 19 July 2018 (UTC)
- I think that's a typo. All of the RSs that I can see give July 20, so I've added them to the relevant sentence. Black Kite (talk) 17:48, 19 July 2018 (UTC)
- The Guardian source says "Chris Cornell (Christopher John Boyle), singer, songwriter and musician, born 20 July 1964; died 17 May 2017". That should settle it. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 17:49, 19 July 2018 (UTC)
- More to the point, Google gives nothing for "Chris Cornell" "20 June" apart from that sentence of the Wikipedia article. It's the 20 July. Black Kite (talk) 17:50, 19 July 2018 (UTC)
