== Please do edit war on other peoples talkpages - and especially to call them vandals == |
|||
I refer to your action [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Ian.thomson&diff=421992810&oldid=421988958 here] to return "vandal warnings" to another editors talkpage. I would strongly suggest that you cease these actions and comments. Firstly, please understand what does and [[WP:NOTVAND|does not]] constitute vandalism - good faith efforts, even if wrong, are not vandalism; they can be removed if they contravene policy, or if consensus dictates so. Secondly, a user is permitted to remove warnings from their userpage - it is taken that they have thus read them. Finally, [[WP:Edit warring]] is never a good move - it gets people blocked and leaves matters unresolved. The proper method is to discuss the issue, and possibly use dispute resolution methods to try to find a consensus. I would ask you to consider this as an unofficial warning regarding your own behaviour, and a request to improve same. Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:100px-Pakistan Steel Cadet College-Monogram.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:100px-Pakistan Steel Cadet College-Monogram.jpg is a duplicate of an already existing article, category or image.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Image:100px-Pakistan Steel Cadet College-Monogram.jpg, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. A contribution you made to Kashmir appears to carry a non-neutral point of view, and your edit may have been changed or reverted to correct the problem. Please remember to observe our core policies. Thank you. S3000 ☎ 10:31, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
Re: Neutral Point of View
Hi there, if this is what you refer to, it clearly shows that you are placing importance on only the fact; that the majority of Kashmir's population is Muslim. We are however trying to have a well balanced article that covers all aspects of the region rather than just championing one fact.
You accused that the original Article had been a "Biased" one which do not present the actual statistics about the population of Kashmir. Perhaps you reached that conclusion before even scrolling down to the demographics section, which has a clear, cited and unbiased view of the population breakdown. If you feel that's incorrect, kindly discuss the matter in the article's discussion page, with your references.
I hope you get my point and try to be more constructive in your edits. Thanks and have a nice day. S3000 ☎ 12:00, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on Pakistan Meteorological Department - Institute of Meteorology & Geophysics, Karachi, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}}
to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Kubek15 (Sign!) (Contribs) (UBX) 10:11, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
Problems with upload of File:BenazirBhutto 1953-2007.jpg

File copyright problem with File:DG PMD.jpg
Thank you for uploading File:DG PMD.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Polly (Parrot) 14:31, 18 July 2009 (UTC)
Criticism of Facebook
Hi, I reverted your recent edit at Criticism of Facebook because it was unsourced and POV. You need evidence that there is significantly more anti-Islamic/Muslim groups on FB than other groups is your opinion, and is unlikely to be backed by any WP:SOURCES but by all means put some in if you can find them. The figure (180m) quoted is misleading and irrelevant. raseaCtalk to me 15:33, 19 May 2010 (UTC)

Zubair71 (talk) 09:30, 2 June 2010 (UTC) Mr ChrisO ! can you explain me, how you see my edit as "Vandalizing" ? I only used the most appropriate words which explains the true situation and the events. So you please tell me which of my words you think causing vandalization? zubair71 (talk) 09:30, 2 June 2010 (UTC)
- Regarding this edit and this edit, please read WP:NPOV, WP:V and Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Palestine-Israel articles#Discretionary sanctions. Don't make edits like that, they will get you blocked. Sean.hoyland - talk 09:31, 2 June 2010 (UTC)
Unexplained removal of content
Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to criticism of Muhammad, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. ~Amatulić (talk) 17:52, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
Your edits have been reverted, again, and will continue to be reverted per the talk page of the article. I encourage you to use it. --λⲁⲛτερⲛιξ[talk] 07:35, 24 December 2010 (UTC)
Edit war: Jesus
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Jesus. Users who edit disruptively or refuse to collaborate with others may be blocked if they continue. In particular the three-revert rule states that making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block. If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the talk page to discuss controversial changes. Work towards wording and content that gains consensus among editors. If unsuccessful, then do not edit war even if you believe you are right. Post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. FYI
We Christians believe in one God, we call Him Allah in Arabic, just as Muslims do. It appears you have absolutely no clue what Trinity in Christianity refers to. If you want to know more, just ask people who know (after all, that's what the Quran tells the Muslims to do - to ask the People of the Book if the Muslims are in doubt of what they have). Just don't make changes to Jesus unless you know exactly what you're talking about. Thanks! --λⲁⲛτερⲛιξ[talk] 20:32, 24 December 2010 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Arif Mahmood requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ttonyb (talk) 03:28, 3 January 2011 (UTC)

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Qur'an. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. While Muslims accept the Qur'an, not everyone else believes it to be divinely inspired. It is POV to say that it just is divinely inspired, it is NPOV to say that Muslims believe it is divinely inspired. Ian.thomson (talk) 16:27, 1 April 2011 (UTC)
Please do not add or change content without verifying it by citing reliable sources, as you did to Qur'an. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Ian.thomson (talk) 17:00, 1 April 2011 (UTC)
Regarding your edits to Qur'an
Changing "Muslims believe" to a statement of universal fact is POV pushing, treating a legend about the Qur'an as an unchallenged fact is POV-pushing, attempting to hide possible relationships between the Qur'an and other texts is POV-pushing. If you want, I've started a thread to discuss your edits to the Qur'an article. Ian.thomson (talk) 17:55, 1 April 2011 (UTC)
Please do not attack other editors, as you did here: User talk:Ian.thomson. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Unfounded accusations of vandalism are considered personal attacks. Ian.thomson (talk) 14:41, 2 April 2011 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, as you did at Qur'an, you may be blocked from editing. Ian.thomson (talk) 15:09, 2 April 2011 (UTC)
This is your last warning; the next time you violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by inserting commentary or your personal analysis into an article, as you did at Qur'an, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Ian.thomson (talk) 15:19, 2 April 2011 (UTC)
