why delate my article on prof. Albrecht ?
Hi! This is a copy of what I wrote on my talk about my article. My name is Thomas Hardy, I'm a french student in archeology and I'm going to a summer camp excavation in Israel next week. I'm sorry if my user name raised some confusion, I guessed I lacked of imagination. Prof. Albrecht is the professor conducting the excavation and I just made a little bio about him, based upon the information I have, as I found nothing about him on the web (I don't know him yet, as he is living in Israel). I don't know the Ezida foundation myself (I was just quoting the excavation presentation I've got), and I'll be glad to have more information about it too ! It's my first contribution to wikipedia, what can I do to fix the problem my article raised ? Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ezidafoundation (talk • contribs)
Controversy
I would like to informo you about a controversy I am having about this article and I would like to ask your opinion on the matter if you have some free time.
As I stated on spesific article discussion pages...
Hello there! I saw that you withdrew your RfA contribution, so...
Since this seems to be widely cited, would it make sense to move it to project space? --Clubjuggle T/C 15:05, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
- I don't know. Can user essays be in the non-user space? Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshells • Otter chirps • HELP) 18:25, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
- I don't see why not. WP:ESSAY says,
"Essays in Wikipedia namespace that are mostly written by a single person, and not frequently referenced, are generally moved to the userspace of their author."</quote> I think WP:HAMMER passes the "frequently referenced" test, but even in the unlikely event that an MfD succeeds against it, it can always be userfied at that time. --Clubjuggle T/C 19:39, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
- I don't see why not. WP:ESSAY says,
"The Bug"
I would think that any notable songs that were written by Knopfler and covered by someone else should be included in his article somewhere. I didn't really know where to put the stuff about John Anderson, but now that you bring up the Carpenter stuff there is definitely something to go on there. Not only songs that he wrote, but if there is evidence that he played guitar on any notable songs that could probably be included as well (just like he both wrote and performed on the Anderson song). It really shows the breadth of his talent to include this stuff, but like I said, I'm not sure how best to build the section.Atlantabravz (talk) 23:44, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
Very, very nice contribution. I like the section a lot. It leaves plenty of room for expansion in case we find anything else.Atlantabravz (talk) 14:58, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

Hi. I've been making a lot of updates (OK, just some minor additions and patches) to the Northwest Plaza article, and I was wondering if you have any more plans in updating the article anymore. I've asked a bit more about the history at the talk page and also at Labelscar. Boyd's was apparently a local, upscale chain, but I'm still trying to get that into a good reference. Also, I'm still trying to figure out what happened during NW Plaza's early open-air days, Westfield's attempted remodels, and NW Plaza after enclosure but before Westfield. So, if you could help, drop me a line! TheListUpdater (talk) 00:27, 24 August 2008 (UTC)

Radio Disney Hot 30
It looks to me like the Radio Disney Hot 30 fails WP:CHARTS, so I started a discussion here. It's clear to me that it doesn't convey notability ... I'm more worried about trying to maintain the column in articles where notability has already been established. If I could find a verifiable source, I wouldn't bother to push it, but my feeling is that I'm going to start taking it out of hundreds of articles. Before I do that, I like to have the feeling that there is support for that decision, and that I haven't just failed to find a source. Your input is welcome.Kww (talk) 14:23, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
Your help on Image (green wood)
Yes, I did miss the signature thingy,, (I'm new at this). What do you mean by 'source'? I took the picture to augment the article. It says "taken by Surry roger" (me). Does it need my full real name? Roger --Surryroger (talk) 21:17, 25 August 2008 (UTC)

Re: Help
Many thanks for your help, I appericate it. I will see if I can get consensus to get mms: links added as they are in use alot around the web. I do, most of the time, link to the page the link is on (or a WinAmp link instead), but in the case of WAXM they have the mms: link on their front page. Again, thanks for your help :) Take Care and Have a Great Wednesday....NeutralHomer • Talk 03:21, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
Reconsider CfD vote?
Hello -- I am wondering if you would be willing to reconsider or withdraw your vote for "Delete" regarding Category:Lebanese blogs now that I've created Category:Blogs by country? --Wassermann (talk) 06:12, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
If you want to know ...
... why you keep failing RfAs, insane AfDs like Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Grand Ole Opry's New Star are a good part of the reason. I know you do a lot of valuable work on music articles, but what were you thinking on this one? Wasted Time R (talk) 14:16, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
The Grand Ole Opry's New Star
Regarding your comments in the afd -- There seems to be no way to verify the track listing. The link provided by Wasted Time R may be inaccurate, as it says the album was released in 2000, not 1950-something. Also, notability isn't inherited. It may be Jones's first album and on a notable label, but since there seems to be nothing to say about it (it might have had his first chart singles; I'm not sure since I can't verify the #*!%& track listing), but since it's been out of print so long, do you think it might at least be worth redirecting? Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshells • Otter chirps • HELP) 05:47, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
- I have been astounded at how little effort it usually takes to create full-fledged articles for subjects I know nothing about that are up for deletion with people saying there are no sources available. I have not done this yet for this album (I participated at AfD before I went to bed), but I will look further. A suggestion of merging or redirecting will always be taken better then deletion, especially if it is suggested in lieu of taking an article to AfD. My gut instinct is still to keep, but I will research further and do my best to make this an article worth reading. Alansohn (talk) 14:53, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
I actually spent a few hours trying to figure out how to word this, without giving you the impression that I'm angry or attacking you, but I'm not sure I agree with this beyond the face value of it. I think if you had asked Treelo to CSD or blank it (or blanked it yourself), it would have been fine, but now there's a feeling of "dragging the dirty laundry". Al Jaffee
I really think this article is fine.....and perhaps should be left alone. Modernist (talk) 18:43, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
My suggestion to you is that Both of us lay off the article. Leave your suggestions on the talk page. There is bad blood already, lets not let it get out of hand. I don't want an edit war....either. Modernist (talk) 19:05, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
I think we both should lay off Al Jaffee. If we can work this out I will be happy to refer to you as an experienced and capable editor..which I know that are....most of the time. Modernist (talk) 19:11, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
God Giveth, God Taketh Away
Hi there. You might want to reconsider your !vote on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/God Giveth, God Taketh Away. You commented that it was a "Major label album by a notable act", but the band's article has been deleted as non-notable! :-) -- JediLofty Talk to meFollow me 21:11, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
Procedural Closure of MfD discussion you commented in
I noticed you commented at MfD that a page should be speedy deleted under G11 and then it was, subsequently you closed the discussion. Although the closure was merely a formality, I consider this bad form and recommend highly against it. There are plenty of people to perform procedural closes like this. I know you could apply WP:IAR, but there's a theory that WP:IAR can never be applied in an obvious manner (see WP:ZEN). Cheers!--Doug.(talk • contribs) 22:31, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
Hyperactive (disambiguation)
How the heck is that a useful dab if it points to nowhere? None of the songs have articles and probably never will as they weren't singles. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshells • Otter chirps • HELP) 23:22, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
- "You know that song Hyperactive? Who sings that?" That happens to me all the time, and I have gone to Wikipedia to find out. I've never done it for the song Hyperactive, but I can see it happening. Alansohn (talk) 00:04, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
Hi TenPoundHammer,
Although we seem to agree on the fate of the article above, I must say that I was a bit surprised to see you change your opinion from "Major label album by a notable act, I fail to see how it would be non-notable." [1] to "The band is clearly nn, so their albums aren't either." [2]. Can you maybe explain to me this sudden change of opinion? Cheers, --Reinoutr (talk) 08:16, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
