Hi, when you're reporting a new sock, don't add it in the case's archive. The process for opening an investigation is the same for re-opening an old case (if a case under that name already exists) as for creating a new case. Hi. When you recently edited University of Alberta, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ceres (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

I can't imagine why I added a bare doi, I don't even use Cite:DOI because it can lead to inconsistent formatting. I looked here, but nothing rang a bell, and I don't have journal access. Fine with me if you delete Jimfbleak - talk to me? 11:48, 5 January 2012 (UTC)

Formatting on Scout sign and salute
I thought I should explain myself; With the Refs list below the Portal and Commons, the portal and commons link line up in an attractive manner, as opposed to being pushed down (and pushing down the Navbox) as listing refs first would. Compare my edit to yours. I know the MOS may say to list Refs first, but I think WP:IAR may apply here, since it improves readability and layout. Achowat (talk) 17:09, 2 May 2012 (UTC)
- Changed back to yours and added note. I like your setup better. If there were some of the longer technical references for the page that would get forced to 3 or 4 lines by being in a narrower reflist, then it might be worth changing back, but I don't expect that. Catahoula Bulldog
Hi There. I spent a lot of time last night adding information and pictures on the Catahoula Bulldog. It was reverted the old version I guess I need more help with the codes for references. If I give you the information and references would you be so kind to add it for me? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Acrysmith (talk • contribs) 15:58, 3 May 2012 (UTC)
Yes, I have references. Only one dog pictured is mine. The rest are all owned by different people and bred by different breeders. I got all of the info I added from research and I got the standard (explaining the three different types)from MBR. It is used by the merle bulldog registry for conformation shows and trials. I also submitted the standard to ARF (who is referenced in the current article). I would reference www.merlebulldogregistry.org. I tried my hardest to leave the template as it was when I added the information. I must have made some mistakes. I also left the pictures that were there and just added some. I wonder where the picture at the top came from. It definitely looks like a black mouth cur cross. Not a catahoula bulldog. I (and many others) feel like that is a bad misrepresentation of the breed. I made sure to make it a general description of the breed and not just post my opinions. I will do some studying up on wiki and try to figure out the codes and how to reference. Your help is appreciated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Acrysmith (talk • contribs) 12:30, 4 May 2012 (UTC)

List of Alpha Phi Omega chapters (geographical)
The USPS address is simply an address for the delivery of mail. For almost my entire adult life I have had to deal with this ambiguity. The campus of UNLV is in Paradise which is where it really is located. The fact that the mailing address is different does not change where it is located. The county assessors web page will tell you where an address really is. This issue is why many infoboxes have and address and a location since two are not always the same. Vegaswikian (talk) 20:36, 8 May 2012 (UTC)
- Interesting list and points. I did some cleanup on a few of those articles. The stadium infobox was interesting in that back in 2009 it was proposed that the location not say address etc. There was support for this and no opposition, so based on that I updated the documentation. The edit comment pointed out that location and address are different and if you want to put in an address, it should be a new parameter. I'll note that years ago addresses where viewed as a negative since it was commonly considered a violation of WP:NOTTRAVEL. BTW, the medical school is located in the city. Kappa Kappa Psi FAC
Hey, I know you're a very active editor within FRAT/SOROR, and I'm wondering if you'd be willing to review Kappa Kappa Psi as part of its featured article nomination. Since I nominated it a couple of weeks ago, there hasn't been much in the way of comments and I figured you'd be a good person to turn to for comments. Sycamore (talk) 02:57, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
- I wanted to thank you for your comments on KKPsi's first FAC and ask if you'd be interested in again reviewing the page for its second FAC. The first one didn't get enough traction either in favor or explicitly opposing, so I got an exemption and re-nominated, and since there haven't been any comments in 5 days even with the notices on the relevant WikiProjects, I thought I'd seek some out. Thanks for the comments.
- I am very new to creating pages, so I don't know how to do a lot of things, such as the category.
- I would really like to use a table, I just wasn't sure how. If you'd like to help me with that, I'd appreciate it immensely.
- I didn't realize the the latin X and A were different characters (on a web page) than the greek ones.
- We have many service and professional fraternities and sororities at Tech, but they are not members of Georgia Tech Greek Life. There are no councils for them, and this page was meant to portray social fraternities and sororities.
- I will try to fix all of the things you mentioned. Thanks for your help!

The article Ceres (women's fraternity) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Non-notable club with only 6 chapters nationwide. Fails WP:N and WP:ORG. No third party sources to establish notability.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. GrapedApe (talk) 11:39, 28 June 2012 (UTC)
- I tagged the article with a Wikipedia:Proposed deletion rather than an AFD because I thought that, with 6 chapters, there was at least a decent chance that notability could be established. I also saw that it was a recently created article, a proposed deletion seemed better than AFD. --GrapedApe (talk) 12:22, 28 June 2012 (UTC)
Parity of zero#Degrees of evenness
Hi Naraht, about a month ago, you mentioned on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Mathematics that you thought Parity of zero#Degrees of evenness sucked. Might I ask why? I'd like to put the article through a FAC someday, and if there's material that needs reorganizing or cutting, it would be good to know. So if you could voice your concerns at the talk page, that would be awesome! Thanks, Melchoir (talk) 07:59, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
- ...The article talk page is probably best for discussions of specific changes to the article, so that other users can see the rationale. RE: Fraternirty/Sorority user templates categories
Why is there a Category:Sorority and fraternity user templates and a Category:Fraternity and sorority templates? Would it make sense to combine them, or to redirect one to the other, or to separate sorority user templates from fraternity user templates? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Drdpw (talk • contribs) 17:47, 14 September 2012 (UTC)
- In general, templates used in userspace should be kept separated from those in mainspace. If you've got examples of where they are combined, let me know. As for splitting it into Fraternity vs. Sorority for the user templates, if you want to do it, that's fine, the number of templates is high enough that it is reasonable.Naraht (talk) 19:26, 14 September 2012 (UTC)

Re: Alpha Phi Omega
Good for someone to be on top of it, at least. Thanks!
One thing I was thinking . . . I noticed that Google Books has magazines archived there as well (for example, the BSA's issues of Boys Life). Supposedly, if you own the copyright to a book or magazine, all you have to do is to send Google a copy of it, and they'll scan it and post it. Perhaps the National History & Archives Committee should explore the possibility of sending old copies of the T&T to Google for archiving? After all, if we can get google to scan everything in, why do we have to? WTF? (talk) 21:21, 24 September 2012 (UTC)
- That assumes we have a working committee. (and I'm on it). I've got a good number of them archived in my google docs account and will copy all of the ones that we "lost" from the website reboot in the next couple of days. See http://web.archive.org/web/20110716055546/http://www.apo.org/show/Publications_and_Forms/Torch_and_Trefoil . :)Naraht (talk) 21:31, 24 September 2012 (UTC)

Good job, by the way!
In general, it looks like you are doing a great job of maintaining the "List of APO members" article. I just tried to clean up a similar article on members of Delta Kappa Epsilon, and it was HORRIBLE - not just non-notables, but obvious hoaxes and (worse) non-obvious hoaxes. The APO list, it is obvious that someone cares about it and has been working to keep it up. Brianyoumans (talk) 17:25, 14 November 2012 (UTC)

I am an alumnus (and founder) of the Kappa Nu Chapter at Arkansas Tech (we also have an AΦΩ chapter at the university and they have a highway next to ours) and I would like to see the article expand. Susquehanna River Basin Commission
Hi Naraht,
Earlier today, I removed the "Controversy" section from the Susquehanna River Basin Commission article because it was not factually correct and it also added a bias to the page. We believe the page has been vandalized.
Our general counsel contacted Wikipedia with this message on 12/06/12:
- Recently, an article in Wiki about the Susquehanna River Basin Commission (SRBC) was edited by an individual who we believe has a grievance with the SRBC. The person is now promoting his edits on Facebook.
- The SRBC is a federal-interstate compact commission formed by the states of New York, Pennsylvania and Maryland, and the U.S. Government, to manage the water resources of the Susquehanna River Basin. As such, the Commission exercises governmental powers bestowed on it jointly by the four member jurisdictions to protect water resources and users of water resources .
- The new content (example: “Riverdale Mobile Home Park”) lacks objectivity, attempts to create a bias against the Commission, and is factually skewed to one Commission project action without regard to over 1,000 other project actions that SRBC has issued. This just isn’t what an encyclopedic reference is suppose to do and it reflects badly, not only on the SRBC, but also on the reputation of Wikapedia as a trustworthy source of information. It further distorts and places in a false light the work of a government agency charged with official responsibilities under state and federal law.
- Several months ago, the same individual created a fake Facebook page for the SRBC. We were able to contact Facebook and have it removed. For similar reasons, we’d now like to know what course of action we can take to remove the biased content of this Wiki entry, and protect the article from future changes that seek to create bias instead of promoting objectivity. We believe that it is in both your interest and the interest of SRBC to insure that unbiased, reliable and objective information about SRBC appears on your Wiki pages. Please be in contact with me at your earliest convenience to discuss the actions that we can pursue to rectify this situation.
We would like the "Controversy" section to be removed.

We have an issue with wanting to display the categories when they're in userspace but not when they're in Wikipedia space. Maybe I can use template coding/magic words to only apply the category in the right namespace. I'll look into that. Cheers, Ocaasi t | c 16:33, 29 December 2012 (UTC)
- There must be some solution. For example, userboxes add a category when on a userpage but are also displayed in WP space. Ocaasi t | c 22:46, 29 December 2012 (UTC)
- This seems quite relevant: Wikipedia:Category_suppression. 22:52, 29 December 2012 (UTC)
- Ah, I see... the issue is Category Badges. I'll change it to Wikipedia Badges. No problem and good catch! Ocaasi t | c 00:33, 30 December 2012 (UTC)
- Just FYI, Category:Badges hasn't updated to the changes yet, but if you check any of the offending pages you'll see that at the bottom they're no longer in the Badges category. It might take a day to refresh the category page. Cheers, Ocaasi t | c 02:18, 30 December 2012 (UTC)
Am I missing something?
This edit cited a prohibition on using such templates in userspace, but the page being edited was not in userspace. Am I missing something or was this a mistake? Nikkimaria (talk) 20:56, 30 December 2012 (UTC)

Elliott Museum Wikipedia Page Severely out of date
Please delete first section:
The Elliott Museum, located at 825 N.E. Ocean Boulevard, on Hutchinson Island near Stuart, Florida, United States, houses one of the finest collections of American antiques, decorative arts, baseball memorabilia and vintage automobiles that celebrate the Golden Age of American creativity and local and regional history.
Please replace with:
The Elliott Museum, located at 825 N.E. Ocean Boulevard, on Hutchinson Island near Stuart, Florida, United States, focuses on art, history and technology. Named after prolific inventor Sterling Elliott, the museum houses permanent collections including Model AA Trucks, early transportation, history of Stuart and surrounding regions, baseball memborabilia. In addition, the museum hosts a juried art show in the fall and a juried car show in the spring. Traveling exhibits round out the schedule.
Please delete the History section: The Elliott, as it is often called, was built in 1961 by Harmon Elliott as a tribute to his father Sterling Elliott, and on November 18, 1961, was given to the non-profit Historical Society of Martin County, which has operated it ever since. Most of the memorabilia comes from father Sterling himself. Before the donation stearling held the world record for the greatest baseball card collection in existence. Its longtime director was the late Janet Hutchinson.
In 1991, on its 30th anniversary, over 500 people gathered for the museum’s re-dedication ceremony, complete with a presentation of the Elliott tartan banner and a ribbon cutting by Lynn Elliott, great-grand daughter of Sterling Elliott, as well as an exhibition of early automobiles from the Treasure Coast Vintage Auto Club and the Daytona Antique Auto Racing Association.
Over the years the museum has expanded its facilities, public programming and members. The museum is often the setting for social events and sits among the residential and business community on Hutchinson Island.

While he/she was perhaps overzealous and removed more than was necessary, your reverts were inadvertently restoring those BLP violations. RuPaul's Drag Race S5
Hey there,
I notice that you are one of the user on wiki that participate in the improvement of RuPaul's Drag Race Season 5 page, and because of that, I think your opinion is important! There is a discussion right here with regards to a possible change in the color scheme and abbreviations of the participant table. It is not proposed by me, but before doing any changes, I think that having the opinion of many people is important! So take a look and speak your mind! ; ) ─ Fabzzz talk 21:37, 18 April 2013 (UTC)

Phi Gamma Delta alleged hazing
In response to your question, the only filed lawsuit was dismissed by the Jackson County (MO) Court due to a lack of jurisdiction. I don't know how to prove that. I don't know how you access court records on matters such as this. The parties settled out of court and all legal matters were resolved. These are confidential documents that are not allowed to be published.
My issue with what was posted is the fact that it was considered "alleged hazing". How do you defend yourself against that? It's like calling someone a "alleged wife beater". Just because one party makes the claim does not make it so. The matter will never be adjudicated in court, so the claim will never be proven or disproven.
Furthermore, one of the references listed was from "Pitch", which is an alternative tabloid of minimal credibility.
Please reinstate my edits. Thank you for your understanding.

Consensus for Samesex marriage in USA.svɢ should SCOTUS decide H.v Perry on standing
I have made a proposal regarding the stripping of California, should the court reject Perry on the grounds that the plaintiffs had no standing to appeal, in which case, as I understand it, there could be much legal‐wrangling in California courts, and in the halls of Sacramento, over whether Judge Walker’s District Court ruling should apply statewide. I would much appreciate your comments on my proposal on the talkpage of Samesex_marriage_in_USA.svg. ― many thanks, Info por favor (talk) 19:07, 15 June 2013 (UTC)

- I agree. Even if some of them are stubs with a quick bullet point list, we should at least have one central article per state to tie into it and work from there. I've spent some time on the Poet Laureate of New Jersey article, aiming someday to make it GA-worthy, and I was a little surprised to see that only a handful of states had an article. I've been debating whether to expand the list article to have state sections with tables of past laureates. What are your thoughts on that? Or do you think that's better addressed at the state article/category level?--ColonelHenry (talk) 01:51, 31 October 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Armed Forces Reserve Medal, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Operation New Dawn (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Amendment 3
Well, there's bound to be a third Amendment to every state constitution, or at least a lot of them, not to mention states/provinces in other nations. Unless we can include all of them, it seems the article should be for the third amendments of national constitutions only. Czolgolz (talk) 04:17, 24 December 2013 (UTC)
January 2014
Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to List of Alpha Phi Omega members may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry: just again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on .

Hi, I'm user of Wikipedia in Spanish, do not know much English and I come to ask you a big favor. The January 21, 2014 SyFy premieres on the reality show "Opposite words" I would like you could create the article for me to go in translating Spanish Wikipedia. I'll appreciate for a lifetime. If you want here is the information website http://www.syfy.com/oppositeworlds --200.31.53.234 (talk) 01:03, 15 January 2014 (UTC)
- I'll see what I can do. Given that Face Off has a page (per season), I think Opposite Worlds should as well.Naraht (talk) 01:24, 15 January 2014 (UTC)

List of US state poets laureate
Thanks for your help with the Alaska section. I've been adding a state section or two here or there for the last few weeks when I get the chance (too much tackle all at once, so a few states at time works). It's always good to have another set of eyes for when I screw up by forgetting to put the ref in, or in filling in the blanks. Much appreciated.--ColonelHenry (talk) 15:07, 31 January 2014 (UTC)
- No problem. I still think that there is a problem of having the individual state pages not having any information not on this page, but at *worst* we take the per state tables that have been created and move them to the appropriate pages (some of which will need to be created since we're doing some tables that don't currently exist)Naraht (talk) 20:00, 31 January 2014 (UTC)
- I was a little astonished that the original form of the list linked to categories rather than an article on that state's laureate post. But then again, most of these poets laureate are rather insignificant...but that goes with the territory today with everyone writing poetry and almost no one reading it. I have worked on the article on the New Jersey post (now abolished), which brought me to the list, and I thought a comprehensive list would be great in one place, separated by state as I started to do but writing tables is exhausting work. Seeing that there aren't articles on some states, it would be easy to copy-and-paste that state's table and incorporate it when the time to create state post articles. I don't deign to want to improve other state articles at this point--maybe when I have more time I could create some stubs, but I'd have to be inspired to take that on.--ColonelHenry (talk) 20:07, 31 January 2014 (UTC)
- What I suggest in terms of writing tables is http://excel2wiki.net/ . Create the table in Excel and then Paste it into the website and it gives you the table. I have made some *huge* tables in wikipedia (600+ rows * 7 columns) (A fraternity chapters table) fairly easily. And as for additional articles, let's wait until we get that as a suggestion when we put this in for GL/FL. :)Naraht (talk) 20:12, 31 January 2014 (UTC)
- I am incredibly happy you showed me that tool. And I like how you think (re: FLC).--ColonelHenry (talk) 20:15, 31 January 2014 (UTC)
- I think I did List of Alpha Phi Omega chapters (chronological) that way, but I may have done that with some UNIX tools. It's still big. :)Naraht (talk) 20:18, 31 January 2014 (UTC)

SPI
Hi, when you're reporting a new sock, don't add it in the case's archive. The process for opening an investigation is the same for re-opening an old case (if a case under that name already exists) as for creating a new case. See the template at the top of WP:SPI for details. Mark Arsten (talk) 17:27, 5 February 2014 (UTC)
Re your message: I'm not surprised and I'm sure that these will not be the last. Keep asking it to the SPI report. I blocked another account, too. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 04:53, 6 February 2014 (UTC)
