: As for the answer to your question, I think it is quite obvious: another editor was not aware of these guidelines and made an error. You, on the other hand, are now fully aware of these guidelines, so you will obviously correct this error whenever you see it. --[[User:Muhandes|Muhandes]] ([[User talk:Muhandes#top|talk]]) 21:06, 9 November 2021 (UTC) |

Colocao by Nicki Nicole
The song was recently certified 2× Platinum in Argentina and that's why I put the reference, I don't understand why you changed it. AlonsoTav (talk) 23:30, 1 November 2021 (UTC)
- @AlonsoTav: As the edit summary states, the issue is WP:RS. The source used is the artist's Instagram account, one of the least reliable sources. Also what about WP:BRD? --Muhandes (talk) 12:43, 2 November 2021 (UTC)
Afc Related
Hello Sir , Hope you are doing fine. Actually I am here as I recently declined a Afc Draft which you have accepted but I dont see the issues that I have raised are met. Can you look into it. Institute of Advanced Research the references are not working. How have you accepted the draft. Kindly forgive me if, I have made any mistake as I am still your junior. Thankyou have a good day. signed, Iflaq (talk) 05:35, 3 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Iflaq: Thanks for reaching back, it is always good to see a junior willing to learn. The short answer is WP:DRAFTOBJECT. For the longer answer, you can see in the page history that the article was not an AfC article at all, it was draftified by mistake by another junior editor. You can see the discussion at the article's talk page and also some discussion here. The bottom line is, an article shouldn't be draftified without discussion if the editor who wrote it is likely to object (as every regular editor probably will). --Muhandes (talk) 08:15, 3 November 2021 (UTC)
Christine & The Queens
Hi there, why did you revert my edit in this article?
I'm only starting to contribute to Wiki so might not know all the details. But I added the source. Psfinaki (talk) 16:08, 4 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Psfinaki: In such cases you would want to look at the edit summary. Let me quote it for you:
Reverted good faith edits by Psfinaki (talk): WP:SONGCOVER
. The first part says that I am not assuming you meant anything disruptive, to the contrary, you made an honest attempt to improve the article. However, the reason is also stated, namely WP:SONGCOVER which states:Only cover versions/renditions important enough to have gained attention in their own right should be added to song articles
. In other words, a source showing that a cover version exists is not enough. You need sources to show that the cover version is noteworthy in its own right. I hope this clarify things. Happy editing! --Muhandes (talk) 19:21, 4 November 2021 (UTC)
In My Lifetime, Vol. 1
Ok, this is the issue I have. Why can't I use Discogs? People have used it before and its not like Discogs is ever really wrong? And why can't I add executive producers. Executive producers have always been added to album pages. So taking down my citations is foolish. — Preceding unsigned comment added by WPUNJ (talk • contribs) 18:10, 9 November 2021 (UTC)
- @WPUNJ: I'm a bit surprised that you ask since I left you all the details at your own talk page, but here goes again. You cannot use discogs because the community has decided that it is not a reliable source, see WP:RSPSS. You cannot add executive producers because the community has decided that this field should not include them, see WP:NOEXEC. These rules represent the WP:CONSENSUS, so we follow them, it's as simple as that. --Muhandes (talk) 18:37, 9 November 2021 (UTC)
No Way Out
Then explain why there are still albums that lists executive producers? — Preceding unsigned comment added by WPUNJ (talk • contribs) 20:25, 9 November 2021 (UTC)
