- Zell65 tagged it for speedy deletion for the following reasons:
- because it does nothing but promote some entity, person or product and would require a fundamental rewrite in order to become encyclopedic. Note that simply having a company or product as its subject does not qualify an article for this criterion... See CSD G11.
- as an article about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content that does not credibly indicate the importance or significance of the subject. See CSD A7.
- If you wish to pursue this further after reading the {{uw-coi}} warnings on User talk:Asana-journal, you may wish to post on Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion. – Athaenara ✉ 18:44, 28 April 2011 (UTC)

I am not sure if this is how I am supposed to talk to you, correct me if I am wrong.
You have deleted my article about my product J2K-Codec. I understand that I might have a conflict of interest, that's why I filled in only basic information in the article, there was absolutely no advertisiment or anything. Any person could have created it! It was neutral. Similar pages exist for other products, like Kakadu with even more text! So why did you delete it? Alex saveliev (talk) 20:34, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
- Wikipedia is not for self-promotion. If you wish to pursue this in spite of the {{uw-coi}} on your talk page, you may post on Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion. – Athaenara ✉ 20:45, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
- Note that your article cited only your website as a source, while the Kakadu (software) article has citations of three independent sources. – Athaenara ✉ 21:03, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
- Kakadu has citations for facts in has in the article. My article was just a stub to give a chance to anyone to contribute later. It had no facts yet, hence, no external citations. And the article itself was absolutely neutral - I don't see how the phrase "J2K-Codec is a library for decoding JPEG2000" can be any more neutral. Anyone else could have created it, what difference does it make that I am the author? You can post it under your username if you want, I don't care. I just expect an equal treatment with the other products, listed on the JPEG2000 page. And I am surprised that instead of trying to fix any possible problems you just deleted the article. No offense, but it's like a doctor who prescribes decapitation for a headache.
- So I want to proceed with the request for undeletion. Alex saveliev (talk) 21:23, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
- BTW, this is a quote from deletion reasons: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:CSD#General
- "Note that simply having a company or product as its subject does not qualify an article for this criterion. "
- So G11 is a wrong reason for deletion - there was no advertisiment in the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alex saveliev (talk • contribs) 21:28, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
- It's back for now, but per the Wikipedia:Notability guideline it still needs citations of independent reliable sources. – Athaenara ✉ 00:28, 29 April 2011 (UTC)
- BTW, this is a quote from deletion reasons: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:CSD#General
- Thank you. Give me some time to provide independent references. I also have one question - can I cite my own site for the date of release? It's on my history page. - Alex saveliev (talk) 07:10, 29 April 2011 (UTC)
- For example, OpenJPEG uses a reference to its own news page to reference the release date. - Alex saveliev (talk) 07:24, 29 April 2011 (UTC)

Music of DJMax
→ see also: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of DJMax track listings
So you just deleted the whole thing instead? No regard whatsoever about the content of those lists, or perhaps even move those lists to each game's pages? You may or may not know, but all of the individual games don't have those same extant lists on their page as they all link to the Music of DJMax page. Which you have just deleted. This results then in the DJMax pages not having any song list at all, in the same page or in a different page, here in wikipedia. Thus forcing someone looking for the list to go to deidicated wiki's like gaming wikia or djmax wikidot. In being too static and too keen in "following the rules", you ended up making a bigger problem. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wan2tri (talk • contribs) 05:48, 30 April 2011 (UTC)

I notice that you've just deleted this, under G8. I don't understand this - there should be a significant article there. There have been some recent disruptive edits to railway gauge related articles (a banned mega-sock, see WikiProject Trains) and it has likely been renamed. However it needs to be restored, and links to it (under this name) certainly shouldn't be restored. As you used G8, I'm assuming that the page had become a redirect to a deleted page. Can you please tell me which, so that I can try and track down the real page. Thanks Andy Dingley (talk) 00:02, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
- It was 15 inch track gauge (page log). – Athaenara ✉ 00:10, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
- Just confirming the message from Andy Dingley (talk · contribs) - this is an important article within the Trains WikiProject, albeit still developing. It has been lost through the Wiki-rape of the trains articles experienced over the last few days by mega-sock TC. It is important that we get it back. Timothy Titus Talk To TT 11:53, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
- The problem is that the article we're after probably wasn't deleted, but rather moved somewhere else. If this was G8'ed and didn't have a page history with content in it, it was presumably just a redirect. We still ought to find it, but it's "sideways" rather than "behind". Andy Dingley (talk) 12:20, 5 May 2011 (UTC)

15 inch track gauge (381) is a common minimum track gauge.
{{15 inch gauge railways}}
{{Rail gauges}}

Before deletion the contents should perhaps been transferred say to track gauge and the deleted article should, or could, perhaps have been transformed into a redirect to that new section in that existing article?? Nate —Preceding unsigned comment added by Neurorocker (talk • contribs) 01:36, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
- Done, but after this people who want expired prods* restored are going to have to seek wider input at Requests for undeletion. Proposed deletion is a deliberately gentle community process with a built-in seven-day grace period. Expiration and deletion shouldn't fall back on the heads of those administrators who follow through at the end stage of the process. – Athaenara ✉ 01:51, 5 May 2011 (UTC)

I noticed something that may alter your decision about not speedying the pieczenik article.. The Infowars article that was cited in the article here itself cites the wikipedia article in an apparent effort to establish the seriousness/bonafides of Pieczenik. Although it may not matter much at this point as I edited the article severely, that makes it look a lot more like a promotional speedy deletion candidate to me. If my edits are reverted by one of the SPA's, do you think it would be worth just respeedy nomming it?Kevin (talk) 10:34, 5 May 2011 (UTC)

And the deletion log says G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion as the reason for this speedy deletion.I wanted to put up an informational note on CustomerXPs software. Since we are a private company and a small one at that, we are trying to get credible visibility via channels like Wikipedia especially from a recruitment perspective since we're hiring quite aggressively this year. It would be great if you could let me know particularly which content you regarded as promotional and I will change it suitably. At Talk:Marvel Entertainment#Merger proposal, after a week and after public notices on three pages (including WikiProject Comics and WikiProject Business), three disinterested editors hold a unanimous consensus for a merge of Marvel Entertainment and Marvel Entertainment Group. (Marvel Entertainment Group is the direct predecessor of Marvel Entertainment, so the material there would become the first part of the Marvel Entertainment article.) The one dissenter was the editor who split up Marvel Entertainment and Marvel Entertainment Group in the first place, without a split discussion — which, as the results here show, would likely have resulted in a "do not split."
What is the next step? Does an admin give approval? Does an editor afterward merge the material and notify an admin that it's done so that the talk pages can be merged? How does it work? With thanks, --Tenebrae (talk) 23:13, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
- I'm looking into that now. WikiProject Comics has a tag on the page, so might one or more members respond to a request on the project talk page? – Athaenara ✉ 08:20, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
- Whoops, I went over there to see how active the project was and found a five-day-old Merge proposal post from you. Did nobody show up to help out? – Athaenara ✉ 08:26, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
- My ability to intervene is constrained by the limits of my expertise (which does not include the comics universe) and as I've no experience with merging disputes I haven't a clue about their usual course. Sorry I wasn't more useful! – Athaenara ✉ 08:34, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
- No, you've been helpful and considerate, responding to requests and clarifying things. The extra work that you and other admins take on, in addition to your own editing, is much appreciated.
- I've completed the merger (which also included apparently long-overdue copy edits of atrocious grammar and other issues), and all that remains now is to remove the empty page Talk:Marvel Entertainment Group, if you could again extend your help. With thanks and regards, --Tenebrae (talk) 00:39, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
