Dear Sir, |
|||
I approach you upon the advice of another editor. It seems that an ip address has been making disruptive edits and trolling with racist comments on several pages. The ip address is 71.106.173.12 contribs. He got blocked but is presently using another ip address,71.109.183.170 (contribs) to work around it. He made one good edit to List of countries by size of armed forces, which I reverted by mistake (see the first link where the ip scolded me for it). He pointed it out and I said sorryhere and let the matter go. However, he then proceeded to blank content from Human penis size and keeps doing it. Can you intervene?Rumpelstiltskin223 05:27, 21 December 2006 (UTC) |

Welcome to my talk page. If you would like to talk to me, create a new section at the bottom of the page. I will not remove any comments, but other users may remove comments if they are nonsense or personal attacks. Sign your posts using 4 tildes at the end of your message. I welcome all comments on my work, which mainly includes article editing, article deletion and vandal fighting, and any requests for help. I am most likely to be online between 21:00 GMT and 9:00 GMT. Academic Challenger 03:19, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
indefinite block of 137.164.142.2
This IP is from my school, the person doing the vandalism will not change, I am requesting an indefinite block while I try to figure out who it is. Geo. 06:09, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

Evading blocks
Hi. I saw you declined [1] to block the new IP account, 71.96.181.77 (talk • contribs • page moves • block user • block log) that 24.116.127.234 (talk • contribs • page moves • block user • block log) is using to evade his block. I think the diffs are very clear: [2], [3], but if you really want, you can scroll back through all the other edits by both single purpose accounts and it will reinforce what I've written. You can also look at the lengthy discussions at Talk:Texoma and User talk:24.116.127.234.
I don't understand -- I thought the policy was to block new accounts used by editors trying to evade blocks?
Thanks for your reconsideration -- this spammer has tied up a lot of people's time.
--A. B. (talk) 00:56, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
Whos time have I taken up? If anyone has time invested it is me. So if you have problems with editing than let someone else do it. I thought a spammer was a cheater or a fake, trying to get something for free by wrong means. Not me, I am the victim check out http://www.copyscape.com/ and see for yourself that over 77% of the content is stolen off of my website. It would be higher if I add the cities that I put on the article but that is indeed enough copied content to damage and destroy my website. Please just make it easy on everyone by adding my link or rewriting the article. That is all I ask. I am trying to work this out in a civilized manner and giving you all the chances in the world to make this right. This is costing me hundreds of dollars daily not including my business hours and being logged. One more time just make it simple.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.116.127.234 (talk • contribs) 06:12, 14 December 2006.

- Thanks for your participation in patrolling this user's edits. I believe that though some of the contributions were made in good faith, many of them are obvious vandalism (substituting "bowel movements" for "bowl games" in the Bear Bryant article, to give one example) and his repeated misuse of edit summaries to cloak his actions to give another. --Dystopos 03:31, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
- this user continues to remove the warnings from his/her talk page. what can be done about this?Darry2385 03:35, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
User STS01 has decided to delete all comments after they are read. You can use history to see all old comments. — Preceding unsigned comment added by STS01 (talk • contribs)
- I just found this guideline: Wikipedia:Removing_warnings#Can_I_do_whatever_I_want_to_my_own_user_talk_page.3F. I will no longer revert STS01's page blanking, but I will point out that STS01 claims to have read the warnings which he is ignoring. --Dystopos 15:21, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
- A few edits under my account such as the Bear Bryant one were done by someone else using my computer. I'll be sure to log out when not using from now on. Dystopos...your getting a bit obsessive with this issue. Time to move on. --STS01
- I'll be happy to move on when the misbehavior stops. --Dystopos 17:03, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
As posted by this user on their respective talk page:
I'm sure it would be immensely helpful to you for me to give you that information. However, I'd like you to prove that I inserted any false information into Wiki at all. Give me proof that I have done such a thing and then I will consider your request legitimized.
Here's the thing about that: You can't prove it. You can't prove it because IPs shift so rapidly that tracing anyone to any one IP is about as effective as matching a suspect to the clothes he was wearing six months ago.
Here's the second thing about that: I'd estimate twenty to fifty percent of the information contained in the Wiki to be at least inaccurate, and ten to thirty to be completely false.
Why is this the case, you ask? Because of people like you. When you edit a page from Wiki, where are you getting this information? From TLC, Discovery or the History Channel? From a professor your were lectured by last week? Your cache of personal opinions? Your imagination?
Wikipedia is simply an aggregiously over-organized version of "I read it on the Internet." It is IMHO one of the most criminal sources of information on the web, simply because it is touted as being strictly policed and fanatically patrolled by it's "user base". It is widely accepted by the common folk as a source of accurate information and is advertised as so by most media outlets.
Simply because the cops in my town are just your average joe doesn't make it any more secure than the next town. In fact, this is how the mafia gets started, politicians become corrupt, and governments oppress their populations.
Wikipedia is the precursor to Orwellian History.
Keep in mind that there are no admissions to vandalism in any of my edits or contributions, as I could very well be lying. After all, if I am that type of "scum" who would dare do such a thing, how can you trust any of my words? Paradox, paradox. User_talk:66.45.146.245 02:28, 14 December 2006 (GMT)
Thank You
Thank you for the deletion of articles that I marked. Your actions and contributions do not go unnoticed. I thank you again, good fellow.

- No Problem!
I appreciate when Admins do the right thing and help keep Wikipedia clean! I love helping out and making this a clean, reliable source for information. There are a lot of critics about the credibility of Wikipedia, but With you I am sure that this will remain a great source of information as a public Databank.
- Thanks Again!
Thanks again for the deletion of those two. Is there a more specific Tag I should use for speedy deletion? The only 3 I know of is Bio, Spam and Attack... Is there one for WikiCrap? That one would fit a BROAD range of things people decide to dump here.
Cheers And thank you! Carlo V. Sexron 03:28, 15 December 2006 (UTC) Carlo V. Sexron
Vandals
Hi. Please carefully check this again [4] you will see that these weren't two posts against each other. Both myself and John Lake were posting reports about the same person (without realizing it). The person is using both an IP and a regular account. TheQuandry 05:13, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

Template:Terrorism in Kazakhstan
I created a Template:Terrorism in Kazakhstan based on the formatting I found in Template:Buddhism, but I'm having two problems. For some reason the space on Tem:T in K is much bigger than on the other template and "no include" is showing up near the top of the template. Could you take a look at it? I appreciate your assistance as always. KazakhPol 01:35, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks! I realize now that the title I was using for one of the sections - "Kazakhstani extrajudicial prisoners of the United States" - was what made it so large because it stretched. Regards, KazakhPol 06:14, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
Islamic comparative religion
I wish to nominate Islamic comparative religion for AFD, but it appears as though someone has nominated this page in the past and the result was to keep it. I have not encountered this problem before and I am unsure of how to proceed. KazakhPol 21:49, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
- Just so I know in case I run into this problem again, how do I list a page thats previously been listed? KazakhPol 03:12, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
