Good to know...
that other people are paying attention to non-tropical cyclone articles...I seriously just went to change Tornado to top class, and figured I had already done it until I saw your edit summary. Wierd.
If you're interested, I'm in the middle of getting Mathbot up and running for Wikipedia:WikiProject Meteorology. Start adding {{meteorology}} to the talk pages of any which seem to be lacking the template. Anyways, happy editing. -Runningonbrains 07:28, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Hurricane John 2006 radar.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Hurricane John 2006 radar.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 01:05, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
TC Reports
Hello, you know the reports by Jack Beven you got a while back. The southern hemisphere ones only reach up to around May 1996. The reports by Gary Padgett date back to October 1997, but no further. There is a hole missing between May 1996 and Oct 1997. Do you have any info you know of that is in between these dates??? I'm finding info for Cyclone Justin at the moment. Justin's existance falls right in the middle of that "missing hole"!! RaNdOm26 13:08, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
Well done on that newsletter member thing
Good work, Nilfanion. I must point out something, isn't this issue "Number 4", not "Number 3"????? (at the top right corner) RaNdOm26 07:09, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

Image deletion
I posted the image of the Citizens Rule Book, which you recently deleted. I understand that the copyright is questionable, but my understanding is that book covers are "fair use" and can be posted. The cover image is available on several websites and I cited the site that I copied it from. What can I do to make sure the image meets the standards of the Commons? In the licensing drop-down menu I saw no option that would cover books. Mycota 02:27, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

Image
What! Why? What for? That image is perfecally legitimate and it shows Ernesto at a stronger intensity than the other image did. It's just generally a better picture. I would appreciate an explaination. -- §HurricaneERIC§ archive 17:17, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
Screenshot deleted - why?
Hi, you delted Qemu_win_linux.png. It was a screenshot taken by myself and as I declared in the copyright notice I've relaeased to public domain. So now the obcious question, why did you delete it? Qemu has no copyright on screenshots and there are other screenshots of qemu in other languages. SO what was wrong?

re deleted bit in Solomon
hey sorry nilfanion i just deleted it because it looked like someone added it who doesnt know what theyre talking about. its gramatically incorrect and just makes a vague statement about unspecified excavations that might prove solomon's existance.

Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!
On page Jack Moran you reverted my edit. That is in fact the name of the movie, and not vandalism.
Re: Fairstead, King's Lynn
In response to your notification that text had been deleted, I can indeed confirm that it was intentional, as I believe that there was no need for it to be there. The "Safety Warning" section is almost entirely unencyclopaedic and simply conveys totally biased views on an area which, in my opinion, is not as bad as it has been portrayed. Encyclopaedias do not naturally contain bias, and I do not believe they should. Thank you
Jonathon Hill, isn't it?
On page Jonathon Hill you reverted my edit. Welsh people do in fact say "Isn't it" alot.
Hyundia Tiburon RD Tiburon Link
Hello, I editted the Tiburon page to include a link to non-GK site, so those of us with RDs can help our fellow drivers. The link was www.rdtiburon.com. Thank you for your time, User:Arcy 07 01:11, 25 September 2006 (UTC)Arcy 07
I was wondering why "Boys Brigade (band " was deleted. There was some information I would like to retrieve from said article. deleted 18:40 15 Sept 2006. Would you be so kind as to respond to my question? 69.197.12.98 16:44, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
Gospel of Eve link
My information on the Gospel of Eve was removed, can you re-instate? I got this from the Nag Hammadi library I didn't make it up! The link completes a helpful circle around the figure of Eve in the gnostic canon. I believe it deserves to be in there to help people who are researching this. Ironically 'whatever you will happens to me' will be the fate of my comments! Martin IP: 86.140.169.77
Hi- Vandalizing Anon
Hi pleased to meet you. This 82.37.198.177 vandalizing Anon, continues to vandalize the Template:Castes and Tribes of the Punjab. I think he has been warned many times that he will be blocked if he carries on vandalizing. The only way forward now is for this vandal to be blocked. Yours faithfully--Peter johnson4 05:31, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
Hi Had you read the article before and after on Allan Rock, you'd have realized that someone was merely flaming him. Thank you and please don't reverse an edit without actually checking to see first.
Your Block
Well, I have Mackensen's talk page watchlisted, and when Hahnchen posted about User:Creator Prophet earlier today I didn't know if he was active, so I blocked him (page move vandal). In the process though I hit the diff on the right when I should have hit the diff on the left (you must have reverted it). Slap me with a wet trout. Thatcher131 01:43, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
ProQuest
I don't think there's a way to get free access to ProQuest. However, most large libraries and university libraries will have access to it, or will have the actual microfilm. It could be quite a job, doing the research, but the material is definitely available and ought to be included in the article. --Spangineeres (háblame) 19:23, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
Commons question
I just uploaded the image Image:Pre Karen ET storm.jpg, but I had a problem regarding the strength. Right now, we only have categories for SSHS scale, TD's, TS's, SS's, and ST's, so I put it under unknown strength. Should we create a category for extratropical/remnants of storms? I don't know what it would be called, but images of precursor tropical waves, extratropical storms becoming subtropical (like Perfect Storm or Karen), or a pic of the remnants of a storm currently have no category. I know they are not technically tropical cyclones, but for organization purposes should we group nontropical storms that at one point were tropical with the tropical storms? Hurricanehink (talk) 01:57, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
You edited something, and it was completely unnecessary (spelling?). Anyway, I'm one of those few active members of ALP and we have a very strong sense of humor. I am Koko on the forum and what I did wasn't vandalism. The creator of the page (member of forum) would be cool with it. The wikiarticle was made for the artist behind ALP for his birthday. It would be great if you could put back my little innocuous statement: Koko wuz here, because as I suggested to all the other forum members, they should do it too.
Lehigh University trivia reversion
hi, The thing I pasted was all true. There was a student at the university, an act was passed by congress and it is concurrent today. Why is it nonsense? I did not post it on the main web page for the university because honestly I think it is trivia and not important to the university in itself. If you think that it should not be the first piece of trivia then you could have lowered it but why delete it? It was not vandalism. Honestly I think it was a lot more substantiative than a lot of the other so called "trivia" on the page...
Foggathorpe
I created an article stub about Foggathorpe using the small amount of information I could find. Yesterday 81.174.167.207 (obviously not experienced in editing WP) took the trouble to put an amendment onto the article. You then accused him/her of adding nonsense to Wikipedia with an offputting message on his/her talk page.
I am interested to know whether my original assertion about Foggathorpe's amenities is correct or not - and I will investigate further. Since you seem to be so sure that 81.174.167.207's contribution is "nonsense", please let me know what information you have about Foggathorpe.
I also think it's worth mentioning that, even though you may not have meant it, your message to 81.174.167.207 came across as high-handed, inappropriate and rather insulting. I very much doubt if this person is a vandal, as your message implies - I think it is more likely that this is somebody with local knowledge who has discovered WP and taken the trouble to try to correct it. Such people can help to make WP more reliable and should be encouraged.

Deleting "Image:Nyhus Pappa 04.jpg" etc. from Wikimedia commons
You apparently deleted my uploaded file :Image:Nyhus Pappa 04.jpg because of a copyvio book scan. This file was made by me as the author, illustrator and graphic designer of this Norwegian children's book, and I consider the image in low resolution to be of no violation against copyright laws of the publishing house. I therefore hope we can keep similar files under lisence self2|GFDL|cc-by-sa-2.5,2.0,1.0. Or am I misinformed? ́́--Wolfmann 18:13, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
- You have deleted some of my other image files as well. As the originator of these files I published them under the same free license as for Image:Nyhus Pappa 04.jpg. Please restore these files immediately. Thanks! --Wolfmann 18:32, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
- Oh my, oh my! Why do you delete files like image:Egil Nyhus Carl I Hagen.jpg? They were uploaded under a free license for non-commercial use. Or don't wikimedia commons have this type of license anymore? Once again: Please restore. --Wolfmann 18:32, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
