I hate to do this, but it had to be done. Virginia Tech Hokies football was a copy/paste of http://www.hokiesports.com/football/history.html. I know that you did a lot of work wikifying it and trimming it, but it still is what it is - a derivative work of a copyrighted text. The IP that put it in there even used the edit summary "added the history from Hokiesports.com". I could kick myself for not noticing it sooner. If there anything in the copyvio text (see for the google cache) that you wrote that was not a derivative work of infringing text, please feel free to readd it to the article ... but from spot checking, it doesn't look like very much was added since the IP added in the copyvio text. --B (talk) 04:52, 13 January 2008 (UTC) |

You appear to be an active member of the NFL WikiProject. So I'm just letting you know that List of New Orleans Saints first-round draft picks is currently a FLC that still needs support votes in order to pass. If you feel it is a FL could you please show support. Thanks for any help in advance. Buc (talk) 12:46, 13 January 2008 (UTC) |

Bob Wade basketball coach or Bob Wade football player?
I noticed you started a Bob Wade page for the Bob Wade who graduated from Dunbar High and Morgan State and played in the NFL. Is he the same Bob Wade who graduated from Dunbar and Morgan State who then coached the University of Maryland in basketball? If so we have two pages on the same person. If I am correct, would you move your information to the pre existing Bob Wade page and close yours out?67knight 23:21, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

Golfer Infobox
Thank you for adding the infobox to Davis Love III. I am keeping a log of all articles which use my infobox on my userpage, so please feel free to add your name and the list of articles to which you have added the infobox on my page. Keep it up! :) Supertigerman 02:09, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
Leaf
Thanks for removing the bad-faith prod tag from the Ryan Leaf article. I'm rather dissapointed that several others of the articles I written, including one that was featured was prodded for most of the the day though. Thanks Jaranda wat's sup Sports! 21:09, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
List of ___ players
Hey. Great job thus far on those lists; the NFL lists take a lot of effort to pull off since they're so many players that have to be added. May I suggest putting them into columns though? It makes it look a lot neater that way {e.g. Houston Astros all-time roster). Creating a template of each list as shown at that bottom of the page will help as well. Keep up the good work! CSD
Hello. When tagging articles for speedy deletion, please remember to provide a reason (even if it is super obvious) - to save some time, instead of writing your reasons by hand, use the CSD templates. Domthedude001 02:02, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
LOTD proposal
You have nominated a recent WP:FLC. There have been two recent proposals to begin a List of the Day feature on the main page, which have both received majorities but have not been approved as overwhelming support sufficient for the main page. WP:LOTDP is a new proposal to try to get the ball rolling based on the original proposal. Voice your thoughts on its talk page.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/tcfkaWCDbwincowtchatlotpsoplrttaDCLaM) 21:24, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
Redskins SB templates
The players listed were those on the roster at the time of the Super Bowl. The web site I found that had the rosters is this. The site also lists players that were on the team at any point throughout the season, but not on the SB roster (but does not provide numbers). As far as players not on the SB roster, I think injured star players are fine to add to the template (like Phil Simms for SB XXV) but I would be against adding others. I used similar inclusion criteria that the baseball task force uses for the World Series navboxes. Thanks for your input and research! - Masonpatriot (talk) 08:05, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
WP:LOTD
You are the nominator of a WP:FL that was promoted in the last month. I am inviting you to participate in nominations and voting in a List of the Day experiment I am conducting at WP:LOTD.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTD) 23:51, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
Hello
Hi, I noticed that you are a user from Virginia, as well as an Eagle Scout. I wanted to let you know that if ever you are interested in working on local articles, I am willing to work with you. --Willy No1lakersfan (Talk - Contribs) 01:54, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
- I am from the Hampton Roads area, so I am not too sure what I would be interested in working on. I also have a small interest in the NFL, and that may be another opportunity to collaborate. --Willy No1lakersfan (Talk - Contribs) 17:42, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
AfD nomination of John Cowne
An editor has nominated John Cowne, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/John Cowne and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 23:59, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
