Just so you know, you are on the verge of being blocked from further editing. If you have a disagreement over content, please use the talk page to discuss, instead of mass-reverting. I'll also add my recommendation that if you want to debate, you need to create an account; otherwise there is no way to tell if there is one or several persons with a shared IP address making the comments. Sir or Madam:
First, please stop calling valid edits "vandalism." I am an established editor on Wikipedia, and do not vandalize pages. I have thousands of edits, and the only reverts are ones you have done. You are removing pertinent data from articles and more importantly, removing references, in your quest to build a plethora of geoboxes. If anyone is vandalizing, it's you.
Second, sign in. Why are you editing anonymously? That also makes you seem very suspicious.
Finally, I see that you are doing a lot of editing, and that's great! Hopefully they are constructive and useful edits. Wikipedia needs great editors. I see that we both care a lot about geography articles of the Western United States, so I would hope we could be friends instead of adversaries. Let's figure out a way where articles can have plenty of information and references, and also geoboxes. I don't see why that should be any problem at all, since there is plenty of precedence for that. And besides, there's nothing lamer on Wikipedia than an egotistic "revert-war". Thanks, GreenGlass(talk) 19:04, 5 June 2010 (UTC)
Good faith
I ask that you not accuse me of things such as lying and fabrication and assume good faith. I did not "discard" any edits, but just undid your single edit for the following reason: You added a template that reads "External images"; however, not one of those links lead to images. Contrary to what you state, this is a totally reasonable and valid reason for my revert. Look, I'd be perfectly fine with your edit if you just modified the links to lead to some actual pictures. Until then, I'm going to revert your edit again. If you truly dispute this, please discuss it on the talk page of the article in question and see what other people say. Please stop exhibiting a "my way or the highway" attitude. Here's my rationale for reverting: The URL should stay as is (I'm using several different city articles like Los Angeles, New York City and Boston as examples); the list of suburbs you inserted does not belong in that section; and you know the external images template does not belong in the article. Please, don't edit war. Wikipedia has certain standards (it's a encyclopedia, after all) and I ask that you take note of them. CL (T · C) — 20:19, 7 June 2010 (UTC)
June 2010
Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Black Rock Desert, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. — Tanvir 13:28, 7 June 2010 (UTC)
- If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
Categorization
Good job on fixing the categorization of articles. There are a lot of pages that have way too many categories (grandparent categories and so on). Thanks for helping out. Killiondude (talk) 19:34, 7 June 2010 (UTC)
Assume good faith
Sir or madame, Please stop repeatedly reverting my edits without discussion, and stop calling them vandalism. Please recall [[WP:AGF|assume good faith], instead of engaging in an always unnecessary edit war. You have not initiated a discussion page re: Salton Sink, I have, please consider using it. Your work creating the new Great Basin "watershed categories" is commendable and appreciated. Thank you----Look2See1 t a l k → 19:39, 7 June 2010 (UTC)
Me Again!
Hi there! Now I've noticed that you're calling me a vandal in regards to edits I didn't even make, as per the edits between June 5th and June 7th on the Promontory Mountains article. Basically, you have crossed from just being rude to being rather absurd, and that's much more entertaining! I suspect you're either an absolutely brilliant ten-year-old, or a severely autistic adult. Either way, I'm now finding your editing and reverting rampages charming, since they are clearly not the work of a rational functioning adult. Have a great day, and keep reaching for those rainbows!
