Creation of this article is premature
I'm not saying this isn't happening, but reading the sources provided (and other news articles on the topic), this article has been made prematurely.
Two of the three sources mention this topic. Both of those sources (CBC & ESPN) do not provide any official confirmation that the franchise has been granted. The sources used in the article are themselves contradictory, with the CBC's anonymous source stating the franchise has been granted, while ESPN's anonymous source provides a somewhat contradictory assertion that they are in the "final stages of negotiations".
While this isn't a sports transaction, one would think the spirit of Wikipedia:WikiProject Sports/Handling sports transactions would apply to this as well (in that we only act on official announcements, so that we don't mix up contradictory anonymous reporting/rumours).
With that said, I have blanked the content for now and redirected this page to Kilmer Group#Sports, similar to what was done with Utah NHL team when that article was made premature of its official announcement. Leventio (talk) 22:23, 14 May 2024 (UTC)
