Stages: Three Days in Mexico is a behind the scenes documentary released by Britney Spears and directed by Judy Hoffman.[1] It shows Britney's arrival to Mexico City during her Dream Within a Dream Tour where had two concerts. It starts with Britney Spears arriving to a press conference she's been asked to talk about her personal life, but she didn't wanted to talk about, and ends with her last concert which was cut off early due to bad weather. The concert was held between two heavy storms. The DVD is included with the photographic book Stages and was released in December 2002.
Director Judy Hoffman and documentary cameraman Albert Maysles give us a glimpse into the everyday life of 20-year-old pop phenomenon Britney Spears and her crew during a three-day concert tour in Mexico. This refreshingly impartial little documentary leads us through a microcosms of body guards, hotel corridors, stages and the ever-present faceless hordes of hysterical fans, nicely accompanied by the pop star's not-so-commercial southern accent and undeniable natural beauty.
