Socialist Front (Nepali: समाजवादी मोर्चा, transliteration: Samajbadi Morcha) is a political alliance of left political parties in Nepal. It was formed in 2023 by CPN (Maoist Centre), CPN (Unified Socialist), People's Socialist Party, Nepal and Communist Party of Nepal led by Biplav.[1]
History
Socialist Front was born as four party front comprising CPN (Maoist Centre), CPN (Unified Socialist), People's Socialist Party, Nepal and Communist Party of Nepal led by Biplav on 19 June 2023. This was announced amidst a program held at National Assembly hall, Bhrikuti Mandap.[2][3]
It was reported that there would be rotational leadership in the front's chairman post while Unified Socialist chair Madhav Kumar Nepal would lead the front for interim period of time.[4]

Organization and structure
In mid of July, it was announced that socialist front would have party like organization at district, provincial and national level. The central committee would have 16 members with 4 members from each party including party chair and general secretary from each parties. Similarly it was announced that there would be 12 membered provincial committee with 3 members from each party consisting party's chair and general secretary while there would be 8 membered district committee with similar formation.[5]
