Ngong Hills Forest Reserve is a protected area in Ngong Hills, Ngong, Kenya. The reserve is located on southern tip of Rift Valley region 25 km away from Kenya's capital, Nairobi. Standing at an altitude of 2,483 meters above sea level,[citation needed] it is one of the highest points in Ngong.[1]
History
The history of Ngong Hills Forest Reserve dates back to 1981 when it was officially Gazetted by Government of Kenya as a forest reserve.
