Mezmerize is the fourth album by System of a Down and the first half of the Mezmerize/Hypnotize double album. It was released on May 16th, 2005, six months before Hypnotize (due to be released sometime in November). The album was leaked online on May 3rd, 2005. One will notice, that Lead Guitarist Daron Malakian shares the mic with Lead Vocalist Serj Tankian, taking up lead in the final two tracks, "Old School Hollywood" and "Lost In Hollywood," and others. The album was also believed to be called Hypnotize before rotating.
