Kiyo Tanaka (田中清代, born 1972) is a Japanese picture book author and etcher.[1][2]
She was born in Kanagawa prefecture in 1972.[2] She studied oil painting and print making at Tama Art University Painting Department.[1][2]
She won the "Purple Island Award"[3] at the Nami Island International Picture Book Illustration Concours in South Korea,[4][5] the 25th Japan Picture Book Award Grand Prize in 2020 and the 68th Shogakukan Children's Publishing Culture Award for her children's picture book The Little One published in 2018 by Kaiseisha .[1]
