Lincoln, Nebraska held a mayoral election on May 5, 2015, being preceded by an April 9 primary. The top two vote-getters in the primary, regardless of party affiliation, advanced to the general election. The election was officially nonpartisan, and saw the re-election of incumbent mayor Chris Beutler.[1]
Incumbent Democratic mayor Chris Beutler was running for re-election for a third term in the 2015 municipal election.[2] He had previously defeated Republican Tammy Buffington by 29.67% in the 2011 mayoral election.[3]
