Rebecca Jane (Born 1984) also known as Rebecca Sutton Gregory[1] and Rebecca Jane Sutton [2] , brought up in Clitheroe, Lancashire, is the founder of The Lady Detective Agency, an all-female private investigation company. The business was established in 2009 after Jane suspected her first husband was having affairs[3]. She is twice-divorced and is the mother of two daughters[3].
Jane was featured on the BBC's Dragon's Den[4] on 30 September 2012.[citation needed]
Jane has undertaken a masters in law,[5] and is the current head of the ' Killing Catfish' campaign. The campaign was launched on ITV1's Loose Women in April 2017[6], as a result of Jane's investigative work for Matt Peacock, a victim of catfishing, and is trying to change UK law to make the process of online catfishing illegal.[7] MP Ann Coffey brought the issue for discussion by the UK Parliament on 18 July 2017[2]
Jane has written the book The Real Lady Detective Agency, published by HarperCollins in January 2013, the rights to which have been sold for a television drama series.[8]
In 2017 she took part in the 18th series of Big Brother UK, and was third to be evicted.[9]
