The Can-Am Spyder roadster is a brand new vehicle made by Bombardier Recreational Products that will be released in Q4 2007 or Q1 2008. Similar in layout to a modern snowmobile, the Spyder uses a motorcycle-like chassis with a single rear drive wheel, and two wheels in front for steering.
Features
The motorcycle-like price and performance of the Spyder is combined with a significant set of safety features, such as traction and stability control, antilock brakes, and the stability of a three-wheel layout. In most US states the Spyder is licensed as a motorcycle, though it is much easier to achieve proficiency and confidence with the Spyder than with a motorcycle. The Spyder also comes with additional convenience features such as simplified braking (front and rear brakes are both actuated by the same foot pedal), a true reverse gear, power steering, power assisted clutch, and an optional electronic automatic transmission.[1][2]
