On August 29, it was announced that the season opener against Nicholls State would be postponed due to the effects of Hurricane Isaac. Oregon State instead had their season opener against Wisconsin on September 8.[3][4] A December 1 make-up date is being looked at, but it is dependent on whether or not the Colonels make the FCS Playoffs and if the Beavers make the Pac-12 Championship game.[5]
