Hello! Back in December of 2023 I applied for New Page Reviewer Rights and given a 1 month trial period. I am here today to reply apply for permanent rights. As a review I've been on Wikipedia for over eight years and have created 47 active article on EN Wikipedia. I would like to to continue to help decease the large article backlog currently on Wikipedia. I would be happy to answer any questions. Thank you for your time! - Done I've granted another 3-month trial; while I didn't see any serious issues with the pages you reviewed, there's not enough of a track record for me to feel comfortable granting the right permanently at this time. Spicy (talk) 14:24, 18 January 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you @Spicy! I will continue to review pages and get enough of a track record. Thanks again! Grahaml35 (talk) 16:10, 18 January 2024 (UTC)

Article creation and sourcing are my favourite parts of editing Wikipedia, and I am keen to help reduce the NPP backlog. After encountering issues with notability criteria when I first joined Wikipedia, I have since created multiple articles that I believe demonstrate a good understanding of the policies, and improved many pre-existing articles with better sourcing (for example, NTH Ring and The BAP Handbook). I am also active on AfD, and have contributed to that space for a large chunk of my editing career. Please let me know if you have any questions or feedback for me, and thank you for your consideration. pinktoebeans (talk) 21:22, 12 January 2024 (UTC)

G'day, I applied for applied for New Page Reviewer Rights back on the 18th of December because of the NPP backlog drive and was given a 1 month trial. I'd like to apply for permanent rights. I've not been able to do a massive amount but I've been able to contribute a bit and I can continue contribute that amount on an ongoing basis if that is acceptable (I have a young family so my time commitments to anything are variable). - Not done According to the logs, you have never created an article. I'm also concerned about this declined G12 speedy tag, and this declined A7 tag. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 14:14, 18 January 2024 (UTC)

I was given the rights on a trial basis for 30 days. And I've completed over 130 reviews, And participating in backlog drive: 2024-January, and trying to minimise the backlog as much as possible. I aim to have the right on a permanent basis, to contribute the large backlog, particularly on women-related subjects. Dcotos (talk) 21:14, 13 January 2024 (UTC)

Coming up on my first year on Wikipedia, after learning about vandalism, I've recently been quite active at AfD discussions. I'm frankly a little bit disappointed with the amount of questionable / lack of references here (many editors aren't super aware of the obscure paid markings) so a chunk of my editing career so far has been dedicated to that. WP:NPP has a huge backlog, and I'd love to help with reducing it to take the next step as a Wikipedian. Thank you for the consideration. TLA (talk) 05:16, 15 January 2024 (UTC)

I have created over 57 articles on the wikipedia mainspace, so I would say I have gained a decent understanding for wikipedia's guidelines and quality standards. I would now like to volunteer for WPP to help out. TheBritinator (talk) 23:44, 15 January 2024 (UTC)

Hi there, I currently have this right as part of a trial, and I would really love for it to be extended. I'm currently participating in the NPP January 2024 Backlog drive, where I've been able to make a good impact. I would love to be able to participate in it for the rest of this month, as my right is set to expire in 2 days time. GraziePrego (talk) 03:31, 16 January 2024 (UTC)

I've completed my trial period. I reviewed a handful of pages during my trial (got busy off-wiki during the holidays) and helped copyedit some new articles. I'd like to have permissions restored so I can hopefully get an award during the backlog drive this month. Dan • ✉ 15:17, 16 January 2024 (UTC)
- Done for another 3-month trial. I didn't assign the right permanently because, as you note, you didn't review a ton of pages during your trial and I saw a few iffy calls (e.g. I don't see how Ankara University Faculty of Dentistry is notable and it probably should have been merged to the school). Feel free to re-apply at the end of your trial period. Thanks, Spicy (talk) 14:18, 18 January 2024 (UTC)

I was granted a 1 month temporary right back on Dec 18th. I have done a fair number, mainly in the sciences (physics and chemistry) where I have experience, and a smaller number outside of that. It was a mixture of "pass" or draftify, and I have tried to help the later, with a little success (not always easy). Some I have sidestepped, deliberately, if I did not feel comfortable judging. I am requesting extension either to a 3 month or a year, I don't want an indefinite extension. Ldm1954 (talk) 22:41, 18 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Ldm1954: So a user raised a concern about your draftifications of academic bios on my talk page last week. They were, clearly, exaggerating, but I do see where they're coming from. For example, you commented that Draft:Shyam Gollakota,
as currently constructed this draft will probably fail the notability test
, but notability is a test of a topic, not an article. And you asked the creator of Draft:Steven Detweiler to addmore sources to establish notability and and you need to include material such as awards to establish notability [...] Papers alone are not rnough
, but notability is not based on the state of sourcing in an article and per WP:PROF#C1 a number of highly-cited papers can be enough. I don't know if these subjects are notable, but in general I would say that if you're doubtful of notability it's better to take it to WP:AFD, where it can be decided by consensus. Lack of notability is, by definition, not a surmountable problem and therefore not helped much by draftification. Also be mindful of the '90 day rule' in WP:ATD-I. - That said, this only affects a small number of articles, so I'd be happy to extend the rigtht indefinitely – or for a year, if you prefer. Thanks for helping out. Done – Joe (talk) 08:11, 19 January 2024 (UTC)

Given the current backlog drive, I'd be interested in trying my hand at reviewing new pages. I've given WP:NPP and WP:NPR a read, and I feel comfortable giving it a shot at a fairly slow pace. WindTempos (talk • contribs) 01:28, 19 January 2024 (UTC)

I'm a pretty competent editor, and I'd like to try my hand at this job. I believe that I meet all the requirements and have read pages like WP:NPP, WP:BLP, and others, and tried to familiarize myself with those policies. I have speedy deleted some pages (as can be seen at my User:PharyngealImplosive7/CSD log) and have a pretty good understanding of that. I also have made some stub articles related to phonology and language (voiceless labial–velar implosive, voiced labial–velar implosive, voiceless labial–uvular plosive, wawula dialect, etc.) Overall, I believe I have a grasp of Wikipedia policies and would like to help with the backlog.
I would completely understand if any reviewing admin declined because I don't have enough experience, and I thank the reviewing admin for their time. – PharyngealImplosive7 (talk) 02:29, 20 January 2024 (UTC)
