:I have been patrolling new pages using Twinkle for a while, i have sufficient knowledge/experience concerning patrolling new pages (guidelines/policies) and being able to use the right tag where and when necessary. Giving me this role will also help reduce the unpatrolled page backlog issue we are currently experiencing. Though i'm usually off and on here on Wikipedia, i hope to make a lot of difference for the next 3 months i'll be active for. Thanks in advance. - I would like to help with backlog of around 18,000 new pages awaiting review. Thanks. I have been a Wikipedia editor since 2011. I am member of Wikimedia Australia. I have created a few pages and edited (hopefully improved) others. The WYSIWIG editor seems to be working well, I probably prefer using it but still revert to source editing when it gets a bit tricky or is required for example, Talk pages. As a scientist I am interested in arachnology, specifically, Spiders of Australia. I have written a number of books including A Field Guide to Spiders of Australia CSIRO Publishing http://www.publish.csiro.au/book/6899/ and The creek in our backyard: A practical guide for landholders which I don’t believe are in conflict with my Wikipedia editing, but worth mentioning since I update Spiders of Australia pages. I am applying for permission to review / curate new pages, as suggested by Wikipedia editor Nick Moyes, for which I have read the relevant guidelines, but there is a lot to learn. - Usernamekiran invited me here. I already have pending changes and page mover rights, and I feel that having this permission would help me improve Wikipedia. I have a good understanding of our policies and guidelines, and have read the tutorial. SkyWarrior 22:05, 14 July 2017 (UTC)

- I have been a Wikipedian since 2014, as well as frequent contributor and creator of new pages about politics, politicians, foreign affairs and Czech Republic. I think I´m eligible for this permission. Thank you. Itsyoungrapper (talk) 12:44, 16 July 2017 (UTC)

- I need to be able to see/preview the interface to help with bug diagnostics.--Sarah Canbel (talk) 19:57, 16 July 2017 (UTC)
- I've been patrolling Special:NewPages and I have experience both in page patrolling and CSD tagging. I believe I can benefit with patrolling new pages in accordance with notability and other article guidelines. I have read up on WP:NPR and Wikipedia:Page Curation/Help and have a comfortable understanding of these. I understand our deletion policies. I also understand notability guidelines. This flag will benefit me in the use of the page curation tool to review pages.--Sarah Canbel (talk) 05:02, 18 July 2017 (UTC)

- Requesting right - I used to, not very frequently, but enough that I hope it was useful, patrol newly created mainspace pages by anon/new-user accounts, tagging with the 'page curation tool' when necessary (frequently speedy). Sometimes something I listed for Speedy was moved to Prod, and sometimes something I listed for Prod was kept, but overwhelmingly I was able to tag newly created spam quickly, accurately and efficiently. If I understand correctly this new user-right is required in order to continue that process. Wittylama 13:46, 17 July 2017 (UTC)

- I hear that the unpatrolled page backlog is in quite a dire state, and I would like to help reduce that nasty ~18k page backlog to a nicer figure. I've been editing Wikipedia on and off for some time and, prior to my extended (en)wikibreak, I was reasonably active in patrolling new pages, and I would like to resume that. I believe that I have a sufficient grasp of policy for the role. --George AKA Caliburn · (Talk · Contribs · CentralAuth · Log) 17:37, 17 July 2017 (UTC) --George AKA Caliburn · (Talk · Contribs · CentralAuth · Log) 17:37, 17 July 2017 (UTC)
