Soy Tu Dueña is a telenovela starring Lucero, Fernando Colunga and Gabriela Spanic. It is the remake of La Dueña, produced by Florinda Meza, that aired in 1995. The Telenovela began airing on Univision May 31, 2010, replacing the second hour that Hasta Que El Dinero Nos Separe occupied.
Plot
This story follows the life of Valentina Villalba (Lucero), a woman to whom life seems good in every way; she is beautiful and has a fortune that her parents left to her when they died. She has a mansion in Mexico City, where she lives with her aunt Isabel Dorantes (Silvia Piñal) and her cousin Ivana (Gabriela Spanic). Ivana is very envious of Valentina. Valentina is also engaged to Alonso (David Zepeda). Valentina doesn't know that Alonso is cheating on her with Ivana. Complicating matters further, Ivana has two lovers, Alonso and Oscar Apunjay, who is very ambitious and is married. Ivana ends up killing Oscar with his car. Oscar's wife blames Ivana, but later blames Alonso. The tables turn at the hour of Valentina's wedding. Dressed in white, she waits for Alonso to come, but he never arrives. He has planned to escape with Ivana, but ends up taking a different flight. After hours of waiting, Valentina is left at the altar after reading a note saying that her fiance has dumped her. She becomes desperate and bitter, and chooses to isolate herself and go live in the hacienda Los Cascabeles, where she starts a new life. That's where she finds Rosendo (Sergio Goyri) abusing Iluminada, a servant that works at the Cascabeles. Valentina lays down the law and kicks Rosendo out of the hacienda, but eventually after a match, hires him as her foreman. The people of the region hate her, because Rosendo, her foreman, "allegedly" follows her orders, and since most of the people believe this, they have given her the name of 'La Vibora' - Spanish for the Viper. Isabel and Ivana as well as their servant Benita, eventually move to the Cascabeles. Valentina meets Jose Miguel Montesinos, a rich land owner.
