Player fails notability at WP:ATHLETE having never played in a fully-professional league. Contested PROD stated he had player England U18 games, however I am led to believe Youth caps do not make a player notable --Jimbo[online] 07:17, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete Fails WP:ATHLETE and consensus is that youth caps do not confer notability. пﮟოьεԻ 57 09:52, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- Well I guess if there is a consensus that the U-17 World Cup and Conference National level isn't notable then it has to be a delete, but it seems a shame to delete the page and then have to re-make it again later. He has a three year contract with a professional club after all. Mattlore (talk) 23:38, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete. The article can be undeleted when he makes his first-team debut, which (if he's good enough to play for England U18s) shouldn't be many months away. slυмgυм [ ←→ ] 17:24, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete per nom. He may achieve "notability" if Ipswich stop buying more defenders. But for now, it's goodnight. The Rambling Man (talk) 19:16, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. Deletion seems to be a technicality. He's signed to a Championship (Tier 2) team, and was on loan last season to, and played for, a Conference National (Tier 5) team. Surely if this is deleted, someone is just going to have to rewrite this soon. Mentioned on June 19th in press release on Ipswich's website [1] Nfitz (talk) 08:01, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- The fact that he is signed to a Championship club is completely irrelevant, as he may never play for them - either through not being given a chance, or getting a career-ending injury in training. Tier 5 is not a fully professional league in England, so playing in it does not help him meet the criteria. Keeping the article with the rationale that it will have to be recreated once he plays violates WP:CRYSTAL, plus it is pretty easy for an admin to restore articles if asked once he does meet the criteria. пﮟოьεԻ 57 10:42, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
