Football player who fails WP:ATHLETE as has never competed in a fully professional league. Saying that he will do so violates WP:CRYSTAL and the article can easily be recreated if he does. пﮟოьεԻ 57 21:32, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- Weak delete True, he has not yet competed, which technically fails WP:ATHLETE. This article will just get recreated once he plays his first game for Manchester United. --/Mendaliv/2¢/Δ's/ 21:35, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- If he plays his first game for Man United...... ChrisTheDude (talk) 21:39, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete as per nom. Recreated if he evers plays a fully-pro game. --Jimbo[online] 21:51, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete. Once he hits the field, feel free to recreate the article. Not (yet) notable. --63.64.30.2 (talk) 00:14, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete Fails WP:ATHLETE - also he hasn't competed so it fails WP:CRYSTAL. « Milk's Favorite Cøøkie 01:16, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep -- he has been signed by a prominent professional team, and will meet the requirements of WP:ATHLETE as soon as he hits the field. How many players get signed by Manchester United and offered enough money to fly back home to Italy regularly and then never actually play?--uɐɔlnʌɟoʞǝɹɐs 04:07, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- The relevant section of WP:CRYSTAL would seem to be "Individual scheduled or expected future events should only be included if the event is notable and almost certain to take place. If preparation for the event is not already in progress, speculation about it must be well documented." It's well-documented that he's been signed, and will begin training for the fully-pro team on July 1. His dad has been offered a job in England, so it's almost certain that he will play: if for some reason he doesn't, odds are that will be notable too.--uɐɔlnʌɟoʞǝɹɐs 04:19, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete saying he will be notable doesn't mean that he is. He may be signed but, may never ever play a 1st team game at the highest level. Creation when he IS notable is appropriate. Creation because he might someday be notable isn't. Jasynnash2 (talk) 10:33, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
