While plenty of sources use this term, there doesn't appear to be much to be said about it; it doesn't really pass WP:DICDEF as an encyclopedic subject. ■ ∃ Madeline ⇔ ∃ Part of me ; 16:53, 19 November 2022 (UTC)

- I feel like this could be merged somewhere useful. BD2412 T 19:09, 19 November 2022 (UTC)
- Comment Is this the same rough meaning as Kludge? Joyous! | Talk 19:35, 19 November 2022 (UTC)
- Not quite, I don't think. Big ball of mud seems to designate code that is badly organized due to the lack of central guiding principles. Kludges probably play a role there, but on a different scale. I think a Wiktionary redirect could be the best option for this page, but that'd require someone to create a definition over there first. ■ ∃ Madeline ⇔ ∃ Part of me ; 19:45, 19 November 2022 (UTC)
- Merge to Anti-pattern#Software_engineering_anti-patterns, where it is mentioned. Probably a selective merge is best--drop the big quote and add the reference. --

12:46, 20 November 2022 (UTC) - Merge to Anti-pattern#Software_engineering_anti-patterns seems sensible to me too. --Fernando Trebien (talk) 15:25, 20 November 2022 (UTC)
- Merge to [[Anti-pattern#Software_engineering_anti-patterns as suggested above. Great context at that target to give more meaning to the phrase. Joyous! | Talk 19:34, 20 November 2022 (UTC)
