Draft article: Publications Distribution Cooperative
Hi Andy. I hope I'm doing this right - it's the first time I've ever left a message for another editor. Back in May 2021 year you taught me and a few others from the Coventry Society the rudiments of being a Wikipedia author and I wrote an article that you thought met the pubishing requirements: Coventry Labourers' and Artizans' Co-operative. Sure enough, it's stayed up there. Recently I've helped a colleague write another article, on Publications Distribution Co-operative. However, after publication it was demoted to draft status. We've done considerable further work on it and it now sits as a draft - Draft:Publications Distribution Cooperative. I wonder if you would be kind enough to review this improved version and authorise its publication. Apologies for any incorrect use of terminology or lack of required information. Warwickshire Warrener (talk) 23:16, 11 December 2022 (UTC)
- @Warwickshire Warrener and Mornington Glory: Yes, I remember. That's a very well-written article on a clearly notable subject, and I'd be happy to publish it once a couple of issues are addressed. These relate to referencing - there are entre paragraphs and sections (for example, second paragraph of "History"; entre "Stricture", "Finance" and especially "Legacy" sections) with no citations. Please can you add them? The message you left here was correctly formatted, BTW, but I've made the draft-article name a link, as you can see above. - Hi Andy. We've added a number of references in the sections that were lacking them. Hopefully it's ready for publishing - what do you reckon? John Warwickshire Warrener (talk) 16:51, 22 December 2022 (UTC)
- @Warwickshire Warrener and Mornington Glory: That's much better, thank you, but not quite there yet. For example, statements like "The presence of PDC as a national distributor encouraged the development and growth of new publications as well as supporting the new shops"; "...PDC was set up in autumn 1976 by an initial group of five people supported by representatives from radical publications and booksellers"; "The original London-based PDC divided into two groups..." & the entite "Publications distributed by PDC and S&N" section all lack citations. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 20:19, 23 December 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Andy. We've done more work on ths and are pretty confident it's ready. Happy to delete anything you reckon isn't up to standard on citations. Happy New Year! John (Warwickshire Warrener) Warwickshire Warrener (talk) 21:28, 15 January 2023 (UTC)

Latest pics, with an opera discovery and some snow. Today my talk has a DYK that was planned for 22 November, among the recent deaths the author of Duck, Death and the Tulip, and now a choir pic of "our" concert last Sunday, likely to become next year's lead image. Enjoy. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:04, 15 December 2022 (UTC)
Today, pictured, the soprano of our choral concert of the year. More in the context: User talk:Gerda Arendt#DYK for Talia Or, in case of interest. - Enjoy the season! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:45, 26 December 2022 (UTC)
