Requested move

The result of the move request was: pages moved. Rough consensus to move, and the one objection to two moves on the basis of length of service only is not persuasive. Andrewa (talk) 01:59, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
– These ships are much more notable fro their Russian service than for their Japanese service. Buggie111 (talk) 13:59, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I absolutely agree, Manxruler (talk) 22:17, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed - the ship spent slightly more than half of her career in the Russian navy, which composes the vast majority of the content of this article. Only three sentences are devoted to her service with the Japanese navy. Parsecboy (talk) 23:06, 17 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Comment that is not true about the Sagami or the Iwami, which spent almost their entire careers in Japanese service. That is only true of Poltava. 70.24.251.158 (talk) 05:18, 19 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Support move of all three ships to their original Russian names. As stated, their most notable service was as Russian battleships. Benea (talk) 14:07, 19 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

14 inch cannon ??
Forgive my bad English. In the article someone wrote:
"The Poltava was hit by twelve 14-inch and eight 12-inch shells during the battle, killing 12 and wounding 43.[12]"
The problem is that none of the Japanese battleships that participated in the battle was equipped with guns of this caliber.--Midnight bird (talk) 12:59, 16 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
