BC Ferries
In addition to the long list of additions I added here earlier, I removed BC Ferries from the list, as it is no longer considered a Crown Corporation or Agency. Source: debating from staff here among other places
- It would be appropriate to have List of British Columbia Crown Corporations that have been privatized.....also List of British Columbia Government Agencies whose operations are privately-managed, which would be where MSPBC, RvServices and BC Hydro and others now belong...Skookum1 (talk) 12:21, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
Should be split
Government Agencies and Crown Corporations should not really be on the same list; this should be split, at least into two sections for clarity as to which is what.Skookum1 (talk) 12:21, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
privatization status should be shown
Many of these, though still publicly-owned, are now managed by private firms; some of the agencies (which are not publicly-owned, as Crown Corporations are) are outright external now; the RBCM being a case in point; the Queens Printer if it's not on here also. BC Ferries remains privately owned but is managed by a private company, and so on. Gonna take a while to sort out, but it's not as if all these were directly parts of government anymore; and anything attached to a particular ministry should have that listed; maybe best to rebuild this into a table. And as noted previously above, Crown Corps and Govt Agencies should probably be completely separate lists, being horses of two very different colours.Skookum1 (talk) 10:39, 18 October 2014 (UTC)
