"Zero Time Dilemma". NF Magazine. No. 22. NF Publishing. pp. 47–49.
Organization
@Famous Hobo and ThomasO1989: So, I didn't want to start this article until after ZTD is out and we've played through that and know its characters, but here we are, so let's talk organization. I am not a fan of the current one, to be honest - I've taken a look at Good Articles about characters of series, such as Characters of the Final Fantasy XIII series, and suggest we do something like this:
Characters
Playable characters
(Junpei, Sigma, Carlos, Q, Diana)
Recurring characters
(Zero, Akane, Clover, Phi)
Other characters
Introduced in Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors
Introduced in Virtue's Last Reward
Introduced in Zero Time Dilemma
The playable and recurring characters would each get their own sub-heading, while the others, which presumably don't have as much to be said about, can have a bullet point each. Thoughts?--IDVtalk 12:33, 21 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I talked with the creator of this article on his talk page, @SuperbowserX:, about whether this deserved it's own article. It's probably better if we move the discussion here. While I do like the organization that IDV proposed, I'm still not sure if there will be enough non-primary sources to justify an entire article dedicated to the characters. Sure, there's quite a bit of information about how Uchikoshi designed the characters, but almost every source is from of handed comments from interviews. There aren't any articles talking directly about the characters. That's just my personal opinion, but if IDV and ThomasO1989 are okay with it, I'll help out. I would personally like to either get this article up to good standards or delete it before nominating VLR for FA status. Famous Hobo (talk) 20:55, 21 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, that's a worry of mine, too. Perhaps we should move it to the draft namespace? It can always be moved back once (or if) it's good enough.--IDVtalk 21:12, 21 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hey guys. Nothing wrong with the new format. Nice work with the edits, you work fast :) Anyway, and this might sound off, but given the ending to 999 doesn't Akane qualify as a playable character? Also, I do think Brother and Free The Soul deserve a spot in the "other characters" section.
I agree that we should wait until there are enough sources to justify the article's existence. We also need sources that cover each character's notability (preferably character analysis), not just covering what role they had in the games' stories. Like many other 'list of characters' articles, I get the feeling that most of the material to be added will simply be recaps of each of the games' stories from different points of view, and it kind of bugs me that the existing material in this article seems to be copy-pasted from the other Zero Escape articles with few rewrites. In response to @SuperbowserX:, there's very little material on Brother and Free The Soul available, and anything that does exist can be included with Dio's description. --ThomasO1989 (talk) 05:25, 22 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, the development section I added was done quickly by copying from Zero Escape and Zero Time Dilemma, and not intended as a final draft.--IDVtalk 09:39, 22 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
