Please can somebody help tidy up the history of The Howard School? Prior to this edit on 9 February 2008, it was about a school in the USA, but that edit replaced the content with info about a school of the same name in the USA. The content was cut-and-pasted to The Howard School (United States), so the history from the former needs moving to the latter. As a separate issue the original author tried his own cut-and-paste move the other day to fix things but I already sorted that, so only need this issue from 2008 fixing. Thanks. --Bob Re-born (talk) 22:17, 30 December 2012 (UTC)
From 29 October 2010-10 September 2011, Féerie is about topic A, from 18 November 2011-5 November 2012 the article is about topic B, on 30 November 2012 the article is reverted to its A state and Féerie (Moulin Rouge) is created for topic B. Marcus Qwertyus (talk) 22:11, 30 December 2012 (UTC)
Badboyzshop (talk· contribs) appears to have lifted the content of User:Andybrevard/sandbox at his submission to AFC at Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Andy A. Anderson, so the old version should be merged for attributive purposes, as a different user wrote much of the material (either that, or a sockpuppeteer is running around) -- 65.92.180.225 (talk) 06:19, 28 December 2012 (UTC)
Tabitha and Napoleon D’umo (Sep 17 diff) at the copy-and-paste point is near identical to Napoleon D’umo (Sep 17 diff). The only noticeable difference is the "early life" section. Why can’t they be merged at the September 17th point? // Gbern3 (talk) 05:07, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
A controversy has arisen at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Lucy Skywalker/Timothy Ball regarding attribution of the usespace copies of the deleted page Timothy Ball, so I'm requesting admin attention to restoring the history page of the deleted article and its associated talk page, Talk:Timothy Ball. Perhaps these should be put in separate pages until submission of the revised article? At present, I think my userspace copies are the only ones being actively worked on. TIA, Pete Tillman (talk) 15:37, 12 November 2012 (UTC)
National University was cut and pasted to National University (California) on 11 October 2009. So the history of "National University" needs to be severed at that date, and reattached to the California article, as it subsequently became a disambiguation page. Further, the talk page Talk:National University is only about the California university, so needs to be merged to Talk:National University (California). -- 65.92.181.190 (talk) 06:53, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
I decided to remove the tag from Heart over Mind (Jennifer Rush album) because I was concerned that if someone performed that merge before seeing the note here, it might make the other merge more difficult.--ShelfSkewedTalk 20:10, 5 November 2012 (UTC)
GREE was cut and pasted from Gree.jp at 02:12, 22 April 2011. Please merge their page history. Thanks. --Neo-Jay (talk) 17:06, 5 November 2012 (UTC) Heart over Mind to
Nexus 4 was cut and pasted from LG Nexus 4 at 17:58, 29 October 2012. Please merge their page history. Thanks.--Neo-Jay (talk) 05:14, 30 October 2012 (UTC)
Gibmetal77 and me were working for some time in my personal space in User:Ecemaml/Nursery/Gibraltar Museum. Next, Gibmetal77 copied the content of the article creating Gibraltar Museum. Unfortunately, the history was not kept (cut and paste) and therefore I request the histories of the articles to be merged. It should be simple as no further editions were made to the original article. Best regards and many thanks into advance --Ecemaml (talk) 15:01, 23 October 2012 (UTC)
McKenna up through the revision of 11:54, September 18, 2012, needs to be merged into McKenna (name) to repair a copy paste move followed by a conversion of the old page into a DAB. Monty845 18:30, 25 September 2012 (UTC)
The Cloud was cut and pasted to The Cloud (disambiguation) on 2010 May 30 by 81.154.165.103 (talk· contribs), who then rewrote the page into an article. So, the history of "The Cloud" prior to 30 May 2010 needs to be attached to the disambiguation page. -- 76.65.131.248 (talk) 18:15, 18 September 2012 (UTC)
Higgs field was merged away in 2007, but a new version of the article was created in 2012 at Introduction to the Higgs field, so the first version should appear in the history of the second version -- 76.65.128.252 (talk) 10:18, 4 September 2012 (UTC)
The Nymphomaniac was created in January, merged back to the main article in February, and then split out again in August as The Nymphomaniac (film). so the first version of the article should exist in the history of the recreation. -- 76.65.128.252 (talk) 03:31, 4 September 2012 (UTC)
Årset (Ålesund) was cut and pasted from Årset at 07:06, 2 September 2012; it was subsequently turned into a disambiguation page. So the edits up to 07:06, 2 September 2012 should be attached to "Årset (Ålesund)", leaving the disambiguation history after that point at "Årset" -- 76.65.128.252 (talk) 07:44, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
Havoc (Mobb Deep) was cut and pasted to Havoc (musician) on 7 May 2012. Prior to that, it was a disambiguation page that was merged to Havoc, so the history prior to May 2012, needs to be moved off elsewhere. -- 76.65.128.252 (talk) 00:53, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
Doggystyle 2: The Doggumentary was cut and pasted to what is currently called Doggumentary, which at the time was called Doggystyle 2: Tha Doggumentary on 11 November 2010. The history of that page prior to November 2010 was a different article, which was suppressed via AfD Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Doggystyle 2: Tha Doggumentary, so the history prior to 11 November 2010 should be severed, and returned to the old article name "Doggystyle 2: Tha Doggumentary" which is under AfD restriction. -- 76.65.128.252 (talk) 01:11, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
LAX (album) was cut and pasted to L.A.X. (album) on 11 October 2010, prior to that it had been a redirect. Then L.A.X. (album) was cut and pasted back to LAX (album) on 30 January 2011, so the history between 11 October and 30 January should be reconnected. There were several non-significant redirect edits and reversions and another cut-and-paste attempt in between that did not significantly alter history. -- 76.65.128.252 (talk) 01:32, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
Jessie J's 2nd studio album was cut and pasted to Jessie J's second studio album and then cut and pasted back to the original title. There is no overlapping edit history. History prior to the cut and paste in October at Jessie J's second studio album should be severed and remain there, since it is the history of a redirect prior to the cut and paste move. -- 70.24.250.26 (talk) 07:20, 16 November 2012 (UTC)
The text edit history of Jessie J's 2nd studio album is continuous across both supposed cut-and-paste points. The first supposed cut-and-paste (at 16:01, 6 October 2012) to Jessie J's second studio album was a copy-and-paste, followed later by Jessie J's 2nd studio album being blanked and then reverted to text. The second incident (at 20:31, 13 November 2012) was marked "Fixing cut and paste move", but was this merely a redirecting? Anthony Appleyard (talk) 09:17, 16 November 2012 (UTC)
I was just putting the page back to where it was before, so as to preserve the history. Unreal7 (talk) 16:56, 18 November 2012 (UTC)
Bargain (song) was merged into its album article in 2008, and was recreated as a separate article in 2011 at Bargain (The Who song), so the earlier version of the article should exist in the history of the new article. No significant overlapping history (just the initial creation of a redirect at Bargain (The Who song), which is not significant, since it matches the redirect at that time at Bargain (song)) -- 65.92.181.190 (talk)
There's no overlapping history, and a history merger would have the same result as someone editing a redirect to create a new article, so there's no problem with merging the histories either. -- 65.92.181.190 (talk) 14:46, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
Not doneBond 23 into Skyfall (asked in my user talk page} :: At the supposed cut-and-paste point (17:01, 7 October 2011), Skyfall and Bond 23 are very unlike: Skyfall was a stub article, and Bond 23 then and after and for many edits before was a redirect and a requesting comment, being a long edit war about where to redirect to. The latest edit of Bond 23 that was an article was way back at 21:57, 21 January 2008, and very unlike the first edit of Skyfall. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 06:25, 29 October 2012 (UTC)
There were previously concerns over maintaining the attribution link between the two articles, is this a non-issue? As an ambiguous term, Paola (town) should ideally be directed to the dab page. France3470(talk) 09:35, 8 September 2012 (UTC)
