Thesaurus Linguae Sericae has multiple issues, as listed on the page. According to earwig, it looks to be vio of 1 (noted on the page as "with kind permission"). Permission must be sent to OTRS (is it VTRS now? I've been living under a rock, sorry). Given that it has been roughly 14 years since the author created this, I find this unlikely. 🐶EpicPupper (he/him | talk, FAQ, contribs) 04:37, 13 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

History of the Ateneo de Manila was tagged for speedy because Earwig says it is similar to [1]. I removed because that page seemed younger than our text, which was copied Ateneo de Manila University in 2006. Unfortunately, in 2005, the text was insertedthere as a copyvio from the "official Ateneo text from 2005 Ateneo Executive Planner", which I could not trace completely, but here is another extract that confirms this is copyvio. —Kusma (talk) 22:47, 13 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
So you say that it is not copyvio while at the same time claiming it is copyvio? The Bannertalk 23:04, 13 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No, I am just explaining my actions. I first thought it was not copyvio because the page was older than the source given at Earwig (BTW please link the source when you do G12 speedies: it is not a copyvio from Toolforge). The most likely cause for pages looking very similar to ours in such cases is that they have copied from us at some point. In this case, it turns out the source is not what Earwig found, but a different, older page. The situation here is complicated and should not be resolved by speedy deletion without further investigation and some thought as to whether anything can be salvaged. —Kusma (talk) 23:10, 13 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
