Hi Johannes,
Hope you're well. Could you please clarify what you would like to see citations for with regards to this draft?

Can someone tell me why this draft is not approved? I been trying to submit this draft on a Kurdish filmmaker, but they decline it or refuse to review it. The sources are in Kurdish, and if I cannot post anything English here on Wiki about a Kurdish filmmaker, where can I post it? It seem there is a censorship taking place when it comes to Kurdish figures.

- Same case have I,
- trying to submit draft on Slovak writer. The sources are in Slovak.
- Although provided with resources.
- Its not about censorship probably, i think its about citing non-english resources.
- However, theres no such rule like: no use english language resources.
- Iam curious about how to publish article. Wikipcontributor800 (talk) 22:24, 15 January 2024 (UTC)
"EFi" diesel
Toyota and Nissan both started fitting electronically controlled, high pressure fuel pumps to some swirl chamber diesel engines in the 1980s. Toyota called it a "computer-controlled diesel engine" and marketed it as EFi. See this photo of the engine. This concept has been linked this to Electronic Diesel Control, would you say that is the correct article? Thanks, Mr.choppers | ✎ 01:18, 19 March 2024 (UTC)
- Cheers mate, there's multiple things I can address here, so stay tuned:
- In a conventional Diesel engine, fuel pumps and fuel injection pumps are, in most cases, not the same device. The fuel pump feeds the fuel injection pump which then in turn creates the fuel injection pressure. (In case you thought about it, please ignore Volkswagen's Pumpe-Düse-System for a while.)
- Diesel engines have a very high compression, which means that the fuel injector has to overcome this pressure. Furthermore, due to the Diesel operating principle, the oxygen has to diffuse into the combusting fuel during the combistion event. The fuel droplets undergo a rapid change of phase from liquid to gas, beginning with the outer layer. Thus, smaller fuel droplets improve combustion quality in a Diesel engine, and since droplet size correlates with injection pressure, all Diesel engines with hydraulic fuel injection systems (all modern Diesels) must always have a high-pressure fuel injection system. Low-pressure or non-high-pressure fuel injection systems (e.g. a Bosch K-Jetronic) can never work with a Diesel engine.
- We can differentiate between conventional high-pressure fuel injection systems which operate with fuel pressure levels of 15 to 25 MPa, and post 1990s systems with pressure levels of 180 to 300 MPa. Toyota has definitely not employed the latter in the early 1980s, so speaking of a "high-pressure" system is not really useful in this context.
- The Diesel engine operates on quality torque control, i.e., the torque output is manipulated by changing the injected fuel mass to change lambda. Conventional diesel fuel injection systems thus don't need to adjust the mixture constantly to make it as close to lambda=1 as possible. Thus, equipping Diesel engines with ECUs has not been top priority in motor vehicle Diesel engine development. As far as I'm concerned, the first series-production Diesel ECU was used in the Mercedes-Benz OM 442 V8 (NG lorry), and later the BMW M21 straight-6 (used in late E28 and early E34 cars). I haven't quite heard of Nissan having a similar system in the early 1980s; I shall have a look at this, but honestly I don't quite think that their system is a comprehensive Diesel ECU. Maybe it's something (in principle) like a bolt-on system that "improves" the already existing helix-controlled injection pump? I shall have a look. Best regards, --Johannes (Talk) (Contribs) (Articles) 13:24, 19 March 2024 (UTC)
- Interesting! Toyota have actually made a very sophisticated Diesel ECU in the early 1980s;[1] it is in fact a "bolt-on solution" for a Bosch Distributor-type injection pump, but functions like one would expect from a regular Diesel engine ECU. I didn't know this. So, to answer your question, Toyota's system is not similar in concept to an ECU, it incorporates an actual digial ECU. - Nice, thanks - I had a general idea, but it always looked weird to see EFi on diesels. Should this be mentioned at Electronic Diesel Control? Feels worthy of inclusion. Mr.choppers | ✎ 18:56, 22 March 2024 (UTC)
Draft: Farisha Ishak
Hi Johannes,
Hope you are well! You previously reviewed my draft page for Farisha Ishak in late January. I have corrected the issues you raised and made further improvements, but no one has reviewed the draft since I re-submitted it for approval a few days later.
If you have a chance, could you evaluate whether the page is ready for approval? I would greatly appreciate. Thank you!
Best Regards,

Draft: Randy Tat
Hi Johannes, I hope you are doing well!
You previously reviewed my draft page for the American film and TV producer Randy Tat and rejected it for lacking reliable sources.
I am relatively new user on Wikipedia and would appreciate any help or advice from you with understanding Wikipedia's policies on reliable sources for biographies of living persons. I have written a handful of pages before about books which have been accepted, but from my research I understand that sourcing policies for biographies about living people are much stricter than they are for entries about books.
Could you please direct me in the right direction on how I can modify my draft page in order to get it to an acceptable state for publishing?
For example, if I removed all of the text/citations that are considered 'unreliable' would that be sufficient for re-submitting my draft? How best could I go about determining which sources are reliable and which are not? Any help or advice would be appreciated.
Cheers! Digitalaudioworkstation (talk) 18:23, 22 March 2024 (UTC)

The reviewer has mentioned that my references are not reliable. All my references are from published, unsolicited, online sources. There are magazine references I could add, but how would the review gain access to such magazines, as they are in publications in UK, Germany, France, etc?

Request for edit to draft page Will Corbett, stage actor
Hello Johannes. I see you've requested removal of external links from the draft page for Will Corbett, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Will_Corbett. Which links are you referring to? I have counted two links to external wikis (non-US wikis), that are relevant to the topic in that section of the body. Is there a way to include links from foreign wikis, without having them act as external links? Mu5sic5 (talk) 14:31, 24 March 2024 (UTC)
Comprehension of JSONPath draft
Hi Johannes. I'm amenable to improving the text, but it would be helpful to know what you think may be incomprehensible. Please compare JSON as JSONPath is in the same subject area and at a similar level of technical depth. Thanks! Glyn normington (talk) 03:44, 25 March 2024 (UTC)

New Pages Patrol newsletter April 2024
Hello Johannes Maximilian,
Backlog update: The October drive reduced the article backlog from 11,626 to 7,609 and the redirect backlog from 16,985 to 6,431! Congratulations to Schminnte, who led with over 2,300 points.
Following that, New Page Patrol organized another backlog drive for articles in January 2024. The January drive started with 13,650 articles and reduced the backlog to 7,430 articles. Congratulations to JTtheOG, who achieved first place with 1,340 points in this drive.
Looking at the graph, it seems like backlog drives are one of the only things keeping the backlog under control. Another backlog drive is being planned for May. Feel free to participate in the May backlog drive planning discussion.
It's worth noting that both queues are gradually increasing again and are nearing 14,034 articles and 22,540 redirects. We encourage you to keep contributing, even if it's just a single patrol per day. Your support is greatly appreciated!
2023 Awards
Onel5969 won the 2023 cup with 17,761 article reviews last year - that's an average of nearly 50/day. There was one Platinum Award (10,000+ reviews), 2 Gold Awards (5000+ reviews), 6 Silver (2000+), 8 Bronze (1000+), 30 Iron (360+) and 70 more for the 100+ barnstar. Hey man im josh led on redirect reviews by clearing 36,175 of them. For the full details, see the Awards page and the Hall of Fame. Congratulations everyone for their efforts in reviewing!
WMF work on PageTriage: The WMF Moderator Tools team and volunteer software developers deployed the rewritten NewPagesFeed in October, and then gave the NewPagesFeed a slight visual facelift in November. This concludes most major work to Special:NewPagesFeed, and most major work by the WMF Moderator Tools team, who wrapped up their major work on PageTriage in October. The WMF Moderator Tools team and volunteer software developers will continue small work on PageTriage as time permits.
Recruitment: A couple of the coordinators have been inviting editors to become reviewers, via mass-messages to their talk pages. If you know someone who you'd think would make a good reviewer, then a personal invitation to them would be great. Additionally, if there are Wikiprojects that you are active on, then you can add a post there asking participants to join NPP. Please be careful not to double invite folks that have already been invited.
Reviewing tip: Reviewers who prefer to patrol new pages within their most familiar subjects can use the regularly updated NPP Browser tool.
Reminders:
- You can access live chat with patrollers on the New Pages Patrol Discord.
- Consider adding the project discussion page to your watchlist.
