Welcome to the assessment page of WikiProject British and Irish hills. This page focuses on assessing the quality of British and Irish hill's articles. The resulting article ratings are used within the project to aid in recognizing excellent articles and identifying topics in need of further work, and are also expected to play a role in the WP:1.0 program.
The assessment is done in a distributed fashion through parameters in the {{BIhills}} project banner; this causes the articles to be placed in the appropriate sub-categories of Category:British and Irish hills articles by quality, which serve as the foundation for an automatically generated worklist.
Instructions
An article's assessment is generated from the class parameter in the {{BIhills}} project banner on its talk page (see the project banner instructions for more details on the exact syntax):

General parameters:
- class – a rating of the article's quality.
- The following values may be used:
- FA (adds articles to Category:FA-Class British and Irish hills articles)
- FL (adds articles to Category:FL-Class British and Irish hills articles)
- A (adds articles to Category:A-Class British and Irish hills articles)
- GA (adds articles to Category:GA-Class British and Irish hills articles)
- B (adds articles to Category:B-Class British and Irish hills articles)
- Start (adds articles to Category:Start-Class British and Irish hills articles)
- Stub (adds articles to Category:Stub-Class British and Irish hills articles)
- NA (for pages, such as templates or disambiguation pages, where assessment is unnecessary; adds pages to Category:Non-article British and Irish hills pages)
Articles for which a valid class is not provided are listed in Category:Unassessed British and Irish hills articles. The class should be assigned according to the quality scale below.
