With regard to the page insertion reaction, in this edituser:MichChemGSI has cut-and-pasted from this sandbox of User:Chem507f10grp3 to article space. This is a problem as MichChemGSI seems to be the instructor of CHEM507, and it is the students who actually wrote the new version. As such, MichChemGSI can't irrevocable release the contribution under the CC-BY-SA 3.0 License and the GFDL as it isn't his to release. Can the sandbox history be moved and replace the existing post of MichChemGSI and thereby correctly attribute the contribution? EdChem (talk) 16:23, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
OK, thanks - now the history is merged which is good, but the article is back in user space, which isn't so good. Could you now move the sandbox article with all of its history to the page insertion reaction, over the current article, so that the new version from the students is displayed with all of the history intact and the old article is also available in history? Am I making sense? Sorry, I am not experienced with this kind of problem. EdChem (talk) 00:09, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
Taktsang Dzong back to Paro Taktsang. In April the article Paro Taktsang was moved to Taktsang Dzong with the rationale "4 times the google hits as this" However I get 65,100 google hits for “Paro Taksang” or "Paro Taktsang" but only 6,980 for “Taksang Dzong” or "Taktsang Dzong" - so the rationale used for that move seems flawed. In Bhutan, where I live, this monastery is popularly known as "Paro Taktsang" not "Taktsang Dzong" (it isn't even a "Dzong" in the usual sense of the word) - so I think this article needs to be moved back to Paro Taktsang. I think this needs administrative help. Thanks. Chris Fynn (talk) 16:49, 18 December 2010 (UTC)
Done as plain move, as page Paro Taktsang and its talk page had nothing to histmerge. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 19:14, 18 December 2010 (UTC)
Death panel to Death panels (political term) -- the talk pages also need to be merged. I recommend that the discussions on the old talk page remain visible after the merge on the new talk page. 65.93.13.227 (talk) 06:12, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
Transylvania motorway (Romania) to A3 (Romania); the rename was legitimate and accurate, but the copy and paste distroyed the article history, as well as the talk page history.- Andrei (talk) 12:54, 1 December 2010 (UTC)
Exhibition to Exhibition (disambiguation) ; the history of Exhibition (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) before February 2010 belongs to the dab page at Exhibition (disambiguation) (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views), so should be reattached. The article currently at Exhibition was created in February 2010 on top of the disambiguation page, making it look like it existed for a longer period than it actually did. 76.66.202.72 (talk) 01:56, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
The Black Lungs to Black Lungs , was cut and pasted in 2008, the talk page was also left behind at Talk:The Black Lungs... which needs merging into the current talk page. 76.66.203.138 (talk) 05:44, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
Someone moved "Terry Farrell (architect)" to "/Old" violating WP:SUBPAGES and WP:CFORK creating a fork article at the prime name, instead of editing it. The comment about promotion left at the new talk page seems to be able to be solved with revision hiding or oversighting, instead of moving the entire edit history away (and does not seem to be the case with older versions of the article, so a simple revert to earlier version and some editing would have solved the problem). The talk page histories should be merged, with the current content of both talk pages visible after the histmerge.
I think this is a "cut-and-paste" type move, since edit history has been separated from its page, with a new revision appearing at the name, but all old revisions disappearing. 76.66.203.138 (talk) 14:35, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
Team Joker Bianchi (TJB) to Team Joker Merida (TJM) (asked for db-histmerge; user copied the article, but didn't save the new article before he made changes. So if you restore the old article (TJB), apply the content of the new article (TJM), and then move the article from the old name to the new name! =) lil2mas (talk) 19:02, 16 November 2010 (UTC)
Manchupallaki & Manchu Pallaki. Not sure; not strictly a cut & paste job, but the page histories don't overlap. PC78 (talk) 08:29, 11 November 2010 (UTC)
DoneHeterochromia with 2 old edits which I found under it deleted, left by an old cut-and-paste move which was soon reversed. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 16:19, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
Ragmala - please merge with Raga mala. A mess! I had moved the article from the first to the second spelling in the interests of consistent transliteration. Later somebody has begun a parallel article at the first page for some reason, which has then been tagged to be merged with the second but has parallel history. Redheylin (talk) 09:44, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
Silsila and Tariqa similarly moved for consistent and usual transliteration from Silsilah and Tariqah - please determine whether history should be moved. Redheylin (talk) 09:44, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
DoneShalwar Kameez to Salwar kameez ({{db-histmerge}} asked for the reverse histmerge, but the lowercase 'k' follows the rules for article names.) Anthony Appleyard (talk) 09:22, 23 October 2010 (UTC)
Done as plain move: there were only 4 edits (2 texts the same & a redir and a blanking: nothing worth keeping) at Gospel of the Nazerenes before. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 06:13, 21 October 2010 (UTC)
Addendum: The histories of the related Talk pages also require untangling.--ShelfSkewedTalk 15:37, 16 October 2010 (UTC)
Done Done the articles. Not 100% sure what to do with the talk pages (don't want to mess this up); I will leave this to a more experienced admin to take care of. Airplaneman ✈ 01:23, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
Oceania Club Championship->OFC Champions League - March 9 2007 Oceania Club Championship was copy paste merged into a stu article at OFC Champions League. Move Call Detail Record history back to call detail record (generic term in telephony, not a proper noun such as the name of a protocol). Please leave the first two edits on the CDR page because they redirect it to cdr. –radiojon (talk) 23:19, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
DoneBY2 to By2 (asked for by {{db-histmerge}}) as plain move, as page By2's undeleted history was only redirects. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 13:05, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
List of civil parishes in Cornwall (pre-2009) has been cut-and-paste from List of civil parishes in Cornwall, which is now occupied by an article which is largely duplicating this page. The new title (List of civil parishes in Cornwall (pre-2009)) is misleading, as the list includes the new parishes created after 2009, and did so at the time of the move. This appears to be a clear case of content forking. The only new information added at List of civil parishes in Cornwall is whether there is a parish council or parish meeting; and a break-up of the list by alphabetical letters; both of which could have been included as an edit to the original. It would be better to move this page back to its original position (where it formed one of the sub-pages of List of civil parishes in England). Skinsmoke (talk) 03:16, 21 September 2010 (UTC)
"The Duncan Banner" and "Duncan Banner". a) Original (w/leading article) created Feb 19 '07. b) Unintentional content fork created Feb 25 '10. c) User conducted (good faith) cut & paste "merge" without attribution: Dec 10th here, then posted merge request at WP:PM. Desired end result title: "Duncan Banner", single history. Is it possible to do this with move/histmerge/restore procedures, rather than just {{copied}} talkpage templates? –Whitehorse1 06:58, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
Yes I'd read that. Followup question: The user who migrated the content (not me), moved it into the newer page. (There've been no further edits to the original since it was tagged for merging, and no further edits to the more recent article (that had the preferred title) since the c+p merge.) Wouldn't it be better on pages that do not have a complex history to histmerge so the first edit on the live page is the earliest? –Whitehorse1 12:30, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
I may have erred in my initial tag, but to clarify the final location for the merged history should perhaps be Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation. Then we can properly review the submission. Thanks. My76Strat 18:51, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
Not done: In page Ryan McKenzie all edits except the first (which is a redirect) refer to Ryan McKenzie (actor). I have put in a hatlink pointing to the model. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 15:10, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
D' Lucky Ones → D'Lucky Ones; don't know how feasibile a history merge is here, but the latter was forked from the former. PC78 (talk) 21:02, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

Lalun & Lalun (horse). Lalun began life as a short stub about the horse before becoming a dab page, until a new article about the horse was created at Lalun (horse). PC78 (talk) 13:50, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
