In this edit the contents of a talk page were deleted. —rybec 01:42, 14 April 2013 (UTC)
That was not a deletion but a blanking.Anthony Appleyard (talk) 05:25, 14 April 2013 (UTC)
There were some technical issues and extenuating circumstances regarding this particular issue as a result of some documented sock puppetry a few months back (the sock puppets appear to have all moved on thankfully). I am an active leader of WikiProject Record Labels, and right now we are trying to properly categorize and edit numerous record label articles for the project. If you could please move the entire page history before my (Zachtron) first edit on it, than that would be greatly appreciated. However, please be informed that both articles (Rocket Records and The Rocket Record Company) are now under their proper titles and have been constructively edited since as Rybec has pointed out above. Since the project now has both articles and related subject matters under their proper page titles, we do not want to lose the very tedious work that has been done to greatly enhance both articles. I apologize for any extra cleanup work that this may have caused, but we do not have many active contributors to the project, and I'm trying my best to recruit more experienced and skillful editors for the project.Zachtron (talk) 02:38, 14 April 2013 (UTC)
Penderyn, Rhondda Cynon Taf was cut and pasted from Penderyn on 10 September 2009, and turned into a dab page, so the history prior to 10 Sept 2009 should be reattached. -- 70.24.250.103 (talk) 06:24, 10 April 2013 (UTC)
I'd recently moved a new article from my User:sandbox into "live" article space: Sophie Matisse. Prior to that, I'd been using that sandbox as a storage space for little bits of everything, most of which by now had become outdated material, source material etc. I deleted all of that old material so I could then import Matisse-related text/sources which I had already been working on offline. That mass-deletion shows in the history on March 29th as "nulling". Everything after that, through taking the finished Sophie Matisse article "live," is related to the creation of that article. BUT, activities in my sandbox PRIOR to that, and having no relation to the Sophie Matisse article, are ALSO showing up in the Sophie Matisse article history. There's nothing Top-Secret within those activities but, still, I'd prefer they NOT appear within the Sophie Matisse article's history. Is the material and activity PRIOR to that "nulling" able to be removed from that article history? Please & Thanks! Penwatchdog (talk) 09:28, 8 April 2013 (UTC)
Cartoon Studios was cut-and-pasted to Universal Animation Studios on 12 August 2006 by 69.165.40.102 (talk· contribs); there was some slight editing and expansion between the last version and the next, but it is clearly cut-and-paste. -- 65.92.180.137 (talk) 12:46, 6 April 2013 (UTC)
Precious Blood Single -> Precious Blood (single). Normally I would just fix this myself, being an admin myself, but the person who performed the cut&paste move is already royally pissed at me over an earlier deletion I performed. While I don't necessarily consider myself "involved", it's likely best if I just stay out of his way and let someone else do the necessary cleanup here. No point in my aggravating him/her any more at this point. - TexasAndroid (talk) 20:29, 2 April 2013 (UTC)
Merge history from Talk:Pandeism/Pandeism into Pandeism. Following discussion on Talk:Pandeism I created a bottom-up draft to remove OR/SYNTH from article. Done at talk subpage sought to be merged, where I performed a great deal of work with many edits on this draft. Another editor reversed support for draft process, duplicated some of my steps in the article, so I thought my work would be copied without recognition, went ahead and copied the draft into the article. Would like histories combined to credit my many steps taken to achieve improved result. LCS check (talk) 13:24, 1 April 2013 (UTC)
Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/We Are Knuckle Dragger (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) - This was drafted in two different places by the same author. Merging We Are Knuckle Dragger (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) into the AFC draft will help the AFC process run smoothly. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 21:26, 29 March 2013 (UTC)
Mythopoeia (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) merged away, and then split out again to Mythopoeia (poem) (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) in 2007. It was cut and pasted from Mythopoeia directly, as can be seen by comparing the two [2] ; so the history of Mythopoeia should be attached to Mythopoeia (poem). -- 65.92.180.137 (talk) 23:39, 25 March 2013 (UTC)
Centralia (album) was merged to the band article in 2007 by AFD, and resplit out in 2013 as Centralia (Car Bomb Album). the history of the earlier version should exist in the current article, along with the 2007 AFD link, so that future editors can examine previous deletion actions -- 65.92.180.137 (talk) 05:57, 22 March 2013 (UTC)
Larry the Lobster (disambiguation) (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) was moved form Larry the Lobster (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views), and then deleted. However, "Larry the Lobster" reverted to being a disambiguation page, and has vacillated several times between redirect and disambiguation. So, the earlier version of the disambiguation page should appear in the history of the current page, to show the history of the debate between redirection and disambiguation. -- 65.92.180.137 (talk) 04:21, 20 March 2013 (UTC)
Done. Old version of the K.I.D.S article is at K.I.D.S/Temp and most current article and entire history have been merged back together.--v/r - TP 21:25, 18 March 2013 (UTC)
Québecor was cut from Quebecor. It should revert to being at the unaccented form, since this is a controversial rename. Please leave the redirect history of the accented form prior to March 2013 in place. -- 65.92.180.137 (talk) 04:48, 18 March 2013 (UTC)
Reba (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) was cut and pasted to Reba (disambiguation) (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) in 2011 by an indefinitely blocked account. The post cut history at Reba only concerns the redirect, and is thus insignificant. The disambiguation page should be restored to "Reba" after histmerging. -- 65.92.180.137 (talk) 00:42, 11 March 2013 (UTC)
Rodelle Weintraub was cut-and-pasted to a sandbox from articlespace. The redirect at Rodelle Weintraub (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) was subsequently deleted, removing the edit history of the article. The userspace sandbox was then moved to the location of the now-deleted history-containing-redirect. So the edit history of the prior page at Rodelle Weintraub needs to be attached to the current article appearing at Rodelle Weintraub. -- 65.92.180.137 (talk) 00:41, 17 February 2013 (UTC)
Done finish the histmerge by undeleting the deleted edits at Rodelle Weintraub :: at 12:46, 16 February 2013 User:Sphilbrick did the deleting and moving part. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 10:20, 17 February 2013 (UTC)
I Love New Year was copied and pasted from Wikipedia:Article Incubator/I Love New Year last year. This year, the source page was nominated for deletion, so the edit history needs to be reattached to the article. -- 65.92.180.137 (talk) 05:58, 14 February 2013 (UTC)
Dreamwave Productions <- Dreamwave Productions/version 2 - I know this was listed below as not done due to "some WP:Parallel histories and no edit continuity between them", but if you look closely at the histories I don't think that is a problem; the histories are more staggered than parallel. Article 1 was started on 5 January 2005 and edited again on 10 January. Article 2 was started and edited several times on 10 January. Then article 2 was edited many times from 5 April to 20 July (and not edited again until 6 August), while Article 1 was not edited at all in this time, until on 20 July to empty the page (one minute after the edits to the other article stopped). This edit to Article 1 was reverted the next day, then the article was semi-vandalized on 26 July, which was reverted on 4 August. On 6 August was the cut and paste move with this edit from Article 2 to this edit to Article 1. From there, there are no other edits that overlap.
I still think this is a good candidate for history merge, as I don't think the staggered edits from the beginning will look all that strange merged together. If there is still concern that this history would be confusing, these 5 edits could be deleted, and there would be no overlap (4 of those edits are adding and removing vandalism, and the other adds three words that were not used in any future revisions). Apologies for making this post probably a lot more complicated than it needs to be, I hope this makes sense.
Also, I'd prefer if the article ended up at Dreamwave, as there is no other Dreamwave to disambiguate from and that is the common name, but I will start a move request if that sounds controversial. Thank you. ▫ JohnnyMrNinja 03:09, 30 January 2013 (UTC)
A series of cut and paste moves following the creation of the Thurleigh Investment Managers article has resulted in the history of two pages (Thurleigh and Thurleigh Investment Managers LLP) being split:
Talk:King Sheharyar Mirza (singer) was moved directly from user's main talk page when the draft article in the user's page was moved into article space. Please move revision of 15:21, 16 April 2013 by BD2412 and all earlier revisions to User talk:KingSheharyarMirza. Delete revision of 16:49, 16 April 2013 by Davidwr (me) as its additional content is in the next revision (also by me) and it doesn't really belong in either the user talk page or in the article talk page. Keep this next revision dated 17:15, 16 April 2013 by Davidwr and all subsequent versions. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 17:23, 16 April 2013 (UTC)
--Vivaelcelta {discussion· contributions} 02:45, 16 March 2013 (UTC)
Estas dos páginas se editaron simultáneamente en paralelo, y no había una clara movimiento "cortar y pegar" entre ellos. Yo ha fusionado los textos :: esto se llama en Inglés un "text-merge". (WP:Parallel histories :: I have text-merged them.) Anthony Appleyard (talk) 16:49, 16 March 2013 (UTC)
1C disambiguation page was eliminated in July 2010, and recreated in November 2010 at 1C (disambiguation) so the earlier version should exist in the history of the current version. -- 65.92.180.137 (talk) 03:59, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
Not done Page 1C was a new start and there was no cut-and-paste move. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 06:32, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
Pedro ipuche riva to Pedro Ipuche Riva. This one is a bit complicated. Article started at Pedro ipuche riva by User:Ipuche. It was copyedited and improved by another editor [3] who then moved it to Pedro Ipuche Riva (correct capitalisation). User:Ipuche returned to Pedro ipuche riva, removed the redirect, pasted in the edited version from Pedro Ipuche Riva and then continued to expand the article at Pedro ipuche riva. There are now 2 articles on the same subject, but the wrongly capitalised one is more complete and does not credit the other editors who worked on it in its history. Someone proposed deletion in this article Ei Samay as they think the article is a duplicate of Ei Samay Sangbadpatra, but, the title I chose is more appropriate. If it is so, a history merge will be helpful. --Tito Dutta (talk) 12:10, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
